No joke this time: Jessica Simpson got a haircut.
Her stylist buddy Ken Paves did the honors, chopping off several inches of her blonde locks to a bouncy cut that hits her shoulders.

Simpson, 29, naturally shared the results on Twitter. "Thank you @kenpaves!! I love my haircut!!!" she wrote in a caption beneath the snapshot, in which she poses in sunglasses from the passenger seat of a car.

The new do isn't as dramatic as the pixie-cut wig she sported earlier this month. "Carol Brady who :)?" she joked. (She was trying out new wigs from pal Paves' upcoming line.)

Why do people hate this girl so much? I think she looks beautiful. It's not too short or too long. I admire her in that she can still stay in this business with all the criticism coming her way. If I were her, I'd stay in the background and design my clothes, bags and shoes. That's where most of her money is coming from anyway.

Her hair is stringy and greasy and flat. Now that she is fat, she should have a bigger, fuller hairstyle to balance out her bigger body.

I don't really care about all of the silly stuff she says, she is just being honest, being herself. Would I do it, no, but I really like her honesty, it's refreshing. I like that what you see is what you get, and what you get is a fun, funny, and beautiful young woman, just trying to live life. Keep being you Jessica!

Jessica Simpson's career is trying to get tabloids to print stories about her. She has turned her looks and personal life into tabloid fodder, therefore it is fair game for the public to critique what she puts out there for the public's consumption. If she doesn't like the comments, she should stop using twitter, stop calling the paps, stop doing reality shows, stop talking about her personal issues in interviews, and remove the tabloids' numbers from her speed dial.
