Kate Gosselin took out her $7,000 extensions, showing off a new bob with lush, side-swept bangs Wednesday in New York City.

Earlier this week, her hair stylist Ted Gibson said that the 34-year-old mother of eight was switching up her 'do in preparation for her Dancing With the Stars debut March 22.
"We're taking them out and we're not putting them back in until Thursday, so she'll have short hair for a day," he told RadarOnline, adding that he planned on using "three different shades of blonde, a caramel, a beige blond and a little bit of a lighter blonde."

A source previously told Us Weekly that Gosselin hated having extensions after getting them earlier this year.

When she first saw what she looked like, she felt her hair looked "over processed and damaged," said the insider. She also was "afraid people will think she's one of Tiger Woods' bimbos!"

I praise people, and I admire Kate for her drive and strength. She is teach.ing her children to go for it and succeed in what ever their endeavors may be. Sitting on one’s tush isn’t going to make it happen you have to do something about it. Kate will do what she can and hopefully tony will bring out the best in her to be successful on the show this season.There have been plenty of other mothers on DWTS.
Oh please Kate is not exploiting the kids! She isn't putting them in the tabloids! The paps are! Those kids are no longer on tv an no longer on camera! Kate is actually trying to sheild them. He seems to be saying that Kate gives a hoot what he says because his "opinion is that Jon will not keep up with his child support payments". That's not an opinion. It's predicting the future, and it's not a valid prediction because it's not based on a history of Jon making or not making support payments. And it's flat-out ridiculous to predict future child support payments on the fact that Jon discussed ideas with a jeweler for designing a ring that never came to be. It has nothing to do with Jon's ability to pay his bills in the future. Kate sure appeals to crackheads.
