While the world waits with baited breath to see bride-to-be Kate Middleton's wedding gown, the royal wedding guests are certainly turning heads with a collection of stunning fascinators.

Princesses Beatrice, 22, and Eugenie, 21, cousins to Prince William and Prince Harry and daughters of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, chose Philip Treacy toppers to accessorize their outfits Friday at Westminster Abbey.

A popular London milliner who specializes in fascinators, Treacy's work has been seen in Sex and the City. Middleton is rumored to be such a big fan, that she's commissioned him to create the headpieces that her bridesmaids will wear today. Victoria Beckham chose a midnight blue Treacy creation for the ceremony.
As for Beatrice and Eugenie, the sisters say their styles couldn't be more different.

"Beatrice loves her glamorous dresses and her hair being curly or big -- like Mummy's -- and I hate volume. I like my hair to be sort of flat," Eugenie tells The Telegraph. "I like just throwing on a pair of jeans and generally being more understated. She is more 'Let's do the glamour.' We're chalk and cheese."

Andrew & Sarah's daughters certainly have not absorbed much in the way of good taste from their many cousins. That is ashame really. I seems that they may be on the same course their mother tragically chose to follow. Apparently, Andrew does not have a great deal of influence over his daughter's or perhaps he choses to leave them to their own resources. I cannot imagine that the queen is appreciative of her granddaughter's behavior or style of dress.

The hat Princess Beatrice is wearing looks like the Egyptian God Hathor's incarnation of the golden disk between the cow horns. Neither one of them is "fashionable" but at least Princess Eugenie doesn't turn chameleon and blend in with her outfit. They have a long way to go learning how to dress for a public event. It has nothing to do with a sense of style, it has to do with not embarrassing oneself. I understand that from first hand experience!

Surely a fascinater is warn to compliment your head/hair; not obsure yr face! why would you want to balance a monstrosity on your forehead? As for the bottom of the blue dress, it appears the dressmaker couldn't finish it in time; & she had nothing else to wear!
