The struggle is (hilariously) real! Rachel Bloom, who picked up a Golden Globe for Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, told Us Weekly that she adored her red carpet dress, despite the fact that she needed Spanx to slip into it.

“[The dress] was designed for me by Christian Siriano, and what I love about it is that it emphasizes the parts of my body that I’m very proud of,” the comedian, 28, told Us. (The Robot Chicken writer also rocked Stuart Weitzman shoes and H. Stern jewelry.)

That said, she added, “Granted, I’m wearing old-school undergarments under this. It’s not like I’m not wearing any undergarments. I’m wearing, like, two corsets! But it emphasizes the curves, and I don’t feel like I have to be sucking in my stomach for three-and-a-half hours to pull off a sheath dress.”
In fact, Bloom appreciated the extra support so much, she even sang a song about her Spanx via Instagram. Showing off her hourglass shape in nude shape-wear ahead of the awards show, Bloom serenaded her fans: “It’s the sexy Golden Globe-y song, the sexy Golden-Globe-y song. Spanx and a corset, Spanx and a corset, the sexy Golden Globe-y song,” before stopping to say, “I can’t breathe!”
