Here comes the bride, all dressed in . . . pink!

When Reese Witherspoon walked down the aisle to wed Jim Toth on Saturday, the second-time bride ditched traditional white for her dress.

PHOTOS: Most amazing wedding dresses ever!

Instead, the Oscar winner, 35, wore a strapless, pale pink gown custom-designed by Monique Lhuillier as she swapped vows with Toth at her Ojai, Calif. ranch, the new Us Weekly (out Wednesday) reveals.

Witherspoon paired her dress with satin Jimmy Choo platform sandals (price tag: $645). Her agent hubby Toth, 40, wore a gray Rag & Bone suit.

Did Witherspoon, who divorced Ryan Phillippe in 2007, avoid a two-time bride blunder by eschewing bridal white?

Nah. "White is totally fine, but so are other colors," Julie Raimondi, editor in chief of Brides.com tells Us of Witherspoon's pale pink choice.

Not that Witherspoon totally avoided that traditional hue during her rustic, country-themed fete. When it came time for the reception (complete with sit-down dinner, dancing and s'mores!) with family and A-listers like Scarlett Johansson and Renee Zellweger, Witherspoon changed into a short, white cocktail dress.

Color is coming back into weddings - and it's about time! There was a time where rich colors were a sign of happiness and good luck at weddings. That's how it should be. I'm sick of all the cookie-cutter weddings. Take a hint from Reese and change it up, ladies!

It was her wedding, and her choice. People should have whatever kind of wedding they want - and wear what they want. I want a huge, white gown and "all that jazz," but it's not for everybody, and I respect that. Do it your way.

I think everyone is right about wearing a white dress now days it is your pref. and pics would have been real nice to see as well. I like Reeses acting and movies seems like she is on our level of life for some reason. i hope her marriage does last this time. good luck Reese.

Us, all this talk of the wedding doesn't keep anyone's interest. You guys REALLY need to dish out some pictures. Stop being cheap and pay them to get an exclusive on the pictures before People and OK! get them. I sure as hell don't care about Reese marrying this guy without pictures. No one's seen pictures from her shotgun wedding to Ryan Phillipe so some from this one would be NICE. Just sayin'

White dresses meant something at one time, now the bride can be almost naked if she wants.

  • March 29, 2011 - 7:53pm Monica Renee Serling

you can wear whatever color you want at your own wedding. my dress was baby blue :)

  • March 29, 2011 - 7:40pm Kim Worsham Horton

She shouldn't. This is her second marriage.

  • March 29, 2011 - 7:07pm Jennifer Smith Sowers

She went with Pink like her Legally Blonde character :) It really doesn't matter these days what color, age or wedding number it is. What matters is that the couple is happy with what they choose to wear and/or do.

a lovely pink dress is suitable to her age and that she is the mother of 2 children. It's always so ridiculous when you see the 2nd or 3rd marriage and they roll the old odometer back and wear white ;) lol

White isn't *traditional* if it's your second wedding ...
