Sophia Loren didn't have a hard time picking out her Golden Globes gown. The actress simply pulled out a dress she had already worn!

40 pics! See what all the celebs wore to the Golden Globes

The Nine star, 75, donned the same dress -- a black, form-fitting sweetheart gown with sheer, bead-studded sleeves -- to Sunday night's ceremony that she wore to a cocktail reception in London this past November.

Although the dress was a repeat, the Italian actress did her best to freshen the look with new accessories. Loren also opted to wear her hair down -- instead of in a traditional up-do -- to the Globes, for which she presented the award for Best Foreign Film.

Yes, Sophia is 75 years old, she can do whatever she pleases, plus it is refreshing to see Hollywood stars doing something that "normal" people do all the time! I commend her!

Ooooh, she wore the same dress twice! How horrible, how is the fashion world ever going to recover!? Give me a break. More of those celebrity bobbleheads need to think like her.

Sophia Loren deserves a hand for not thinking like all those other women. She knows what looks good on her and she is not ashamed to wear a gown more than one time. More women need to think like her.

So what's the big deal, I think that is great. More celebs should follow in her shoes in that regard instead of stressing out in "what to wear" just to forge ahead to spend thousands on a piece of clothing. Hey what about people out there that are homeless, hungry, ect.

At least this was a beautiful dress. The one she wore at the Oscars was awful and unflattering - the style and the pale pale olivey green. Sophia should always wear black, or red.

MAMMA MIA!! SOPHIA SHE NEVER AGE....THE GODS OF OLYMPUS SMILE UPON HER.

I LOVED that dress. What she is doing is great! The shear arms added that extra touch that made it even more gorgous

Sophia Loren is a legend and a beautiful woman who is elegant and regal. So she wore a dress she looks fantastic in to more than one event - who cares?! We now only know because US Magazine decided to point it out to us.

I only wish she were starting a trend. Let's try "less is more"--the less you have in your closet the more you get out of it. Deep six the fashion disasters, stick with the classics and be a good example for all of us who are infected with the I-can't-wear-this-everyone's-seen-it bug.

Sophia looks great; I'm sure that she has had some work done, but very natural. But her smartest move is to wear a dress with a light cover over her arms. I see many older actresses whose arms should be covered; arms often really show age.

Good for her! Class act Sophia!

  • January 19, 2010 - 11:31am Lisa

Well of course it's okay to wear the same dress!!! Way to go Sophia...others should look at her as a recycling inspiration!

Only celebrity think they need a new dress for every occasion. Go Sophia Loren, your a diva(in a good way).

  • January 19, 2010 - 11:01am Joan

Sophia Loren is incredible looking for a 75 year old. The dress was elegant with a touch of glitz. I don't know if she's had any surgery, but if so, the surgeon was an artist. She's one of the few iconic actresses of days gone by who still holds star power. She's the definition of a Diva in the true sense.

i love how just because someone's a celebrity, it's some kind of crime to wear something more than once. the horror! gimme a break

  • January 19, 2010 - 10:57am Joan

Ms. Loren did not repeat her red carpet look in this dress. She wore it to an event in London and I'm sure that event was not televised in the US.

  • January 19, 2010 - 10:46am Cara

She is probably so sick and tired of these award shows that she doesn't care anymore!

  • January 19, 2010 - 10:43am Sharon

Hell yes, there a lot of peoples staving in this world..So stupid to make a big deal on expensive dress some worn only once..for few hrs..some donate the dress for charity..which a good ideal

  • January 19, 2010 - 10:33am Patty

If I looked that good in something I'd wear it until it fell apart. Sophia is an absolute stunner and probably the most beautiful woman to ever walk the planet.

  • January 19, 2010 - 10:16am NY

Oh my goodness, leave the woman alone. Why can't she recycle a dress? If I had to buy a new dress for every function I went to I'd be in debt and homeless b/c I'd have no money for rent or food. Absurd. It's both practical and economical to re-wear a dress, and she looked good.
