But last Friday, she showed off her effortlessly chic casual style as she left her family's French Quarter home.

The 35-year-old Jolie -- who is about to direct her first movie -- was in the Big Easy to support beau Brad Pitt, who helped mark the fifth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. He has spent more than $5 million helping to rebuild the area.

check out the shoe prices at places like Nordstrom, shoes do cost hundreds of dollars, and I have seen certain "celeb" flip flops cost even more than $48.
48 dollars? Are you kidding me? There isn't enough materials to make 48 dollar flip flops! Rubber soles and leather lining? Boy, people in NY know how to separate peoples money from their pocketbooks. You can get similar flip flops at a much lower price. Superstars like Jolie should be saving their money and being role models for wise spending.
