Seasonal sensation! Autumn means football, dropping temperatures and back-to-school fever. And for Vanessa Hudgens, most significantly, it means switching up her style.
“The fall palette is my favorite,” the Grease: Live! star, 27, told Us Weekly at an event for Kohl’s at the Accelerated School in L.A. on Wednesday, August 17. “It’s very prominent in my closet — the mustard, the burnt orange, the greens. Wearing all those colors makes me so happy!”
In addition to all of the autumn hues she’s obsessed with, Hudgens is also in love with the season’s go-to footwear. “I got a pair of over-the-knee St. Laurent boots last year and they’re my prized possession,” she said. “I love breaking them out!”
Of course, nothing tops the memory of picking out what she’d wear for her first day of school. “I would always set out my clothes the night before so I knew what I was going to wear and there’d be no stress in the morning,” she shared with Us. “I was really shy and being around a lot of kids was kind of nerve-racking to me, so I had to make sure all my ducks were in a row. When I felt properly prepared, then I would be good.”
At the event, Hudgens was helping Kohl’s hand out 2,000 Nike kicks to children in need, so they would feel just as ready for school to begin. “It’s important for kids to have nice new sneakers. It makes them feel confident and approach the school year with a fresh start,” she told Us about the program, which also gave teachers $600 gift cards to buy supplies. “You want to feel on point!”
