Getting into the spirit of summer, BFFs Ashley Tisdale and Vanessa Hudgens have both opted for a serious hair change.

On July 11, Tisdale, 26, traded her rich, brunette hue for a sunny California blonde. "It's summer and I'm ready for some FUN!" the Hellcats star Tweeted, along with a TwitPic showing off her new color.

And on the set of her new film Gimme Shelter on July 14, Hudgens debuted a super-short crop. (The actress plays a pregnant teen forced to live on the streets in the flick). The 22-year-old showed off her shaggy new 'do at the Neutrogena's 2nd Annual Wave for Change By Helping Kids Make A Difference bash in L.A. on Monday.

"Oh man, it's really intense," Hudgens said about her new short hair in an interview with Access Hollywood. "I grabbed the scissors and started cutting my actual hair and then my director decided that he was going to grab the scissors. He grabs a chunk of my hair and just chops it. I'm still getting used to it."
