Carrie Underwood deserves that ring and then some. She has worked very hard to get where she is and I know that she has given a substantial amount of her income and time to different charities. Why would accepting a beautiful engagement ring, from someone she loves, change who she is? She probably would have been happy with less, but that is what the person, who obviously loves her, gave to her! Why can't some people just be happy for other peoples blessings? Shame on anyone who would berate her or her husband because of this! I will pray for you!

C'mon people. Just because Carrie accepted this beautiful ring...now she is changed and isn't a country girl anymore. What she has on her finger has nothing to do with the country in this girls heart. I'm from Oklahoma too and I wish them all the best. They have the money, let them spend it as they wish and whether they do or don't give to charity is their business...IT'S THEIR MONEY. I am quite sure Carrie gives plenty to charity.

    Wow! Lots of jealous people!

Gosh ya'll are ANNOYING. Just because they say the ring is worth "$800,000" etc, etc doesn't mean that's what they paid for it. They're celebrities. And some of you are just plain jealous. Mike Fisher and Carrie Underwood makes MILLIONS. They can afford it. And just because a celebrity spends a certain amount on a ring, that doesn't mean they don't donate to charity etc. They're so rich, they probably do BOTH! And just because Carrie accepted this ring (which is GORGEOUS by the way) doesnt make her any less of a country girl. The ring you were on your finger doesn't change your personality. Come on now. Besides, if your man gave YOU that ring, you can't tell me you wouldn't flaunt it. Who would say to their millionaire fiance, "Oh well it's georgeous, but you have to take it back. It's just TOO much!" NO ONE. Besides, Mike gave it to her out of love. I guarantee he wasn't designing the ring saying "man, everyone's going to see how flashy this is and i'm going to look like a great guy!" I love my wedding and engagement ring, and no matter how much he paid for it (though my husband would never tell me) I could NEVER return something my husband chose for me.

How many of you have ever had jewelry appraised? For those of you who have....how many of you actually paid that amount for it??? Probably NONE of you. Just because a ring is said to be worth $800,000 doesn't mean that is what was actually paid for it. Come on...use your brains!

Why must you people demand that the money others have earned go to charity??? How do you know they haven't already donated 2x what this ring is worth to various charities already? You earn your money and spend it how you see fit and let others do the same. How many of you have ever had jewelry appraised? For those of you who have....how many of you actually paid that amount for it??? Probably NONE of you. Just because a ring is said to be worth $800,000 doesn't mean that is what was actually paid for it. Come on...use your brains!

Seems like there are an awful lot of jealous people out their. Just because they can afford a ring like that doesn't mean that she has changed her philosophy on life. She is and always be a country girl at heart. And so what if they decide to build a home in Canada. After all that is where he makes his living. So just shut up and let them be happy.

So much for the down home country girl. That is on e gaudy ass looking ring. She can't say she's a country girl anymore since their building a house in Canada. If the ring looks that crappy, imagine what the houseis gonna cost and look like. Funny what money does to people and how it changes their whole outlook and attitude.

In my opinion Carrie Underwood has changed. The old down-to-earth Carrie would not have wanted a $800,000.00 ring. She would have still been in love & happy with an $80,000.00 ring and Mike WOULD have known that.

  • August 10, 2010 - 1:30am Mina

Wonderful that Mike co-designed Carrie's ring, but I was surprised that he spent $800,000. on just the ring alone, what a waste! I'm even more surprised that she seems OK with it. I had always thought Carrie Underwood was one of the few talents who wouldnt let the money & fame go to her head, guess I was wrong. Makes me sad since I'm also from Oklahoma.

Hockey player Mike Fisher codesigned the yellow-and-white 12-carat diamond ring worth about $800,000 with her favorite designer, Johnathon Arndt, before proposing in December 2009.
