At long last, the first look at Kristen Stewart‘s campaign for Chanel is here!
In early February, the Snow White and the Huntsman star, 24, arrived in Paris to shoot the campaign for the Metiers D’Art Paris-Dallas collection, which debuted in December. The official images will be released on May 2, but on April 29 the famed fashion house gave a sneak peek of the Karl Lagerfeld-shot campaign by releasing a behind-the-scenes video.
Whereas the campaigns of fellow Chanel ambassadors Keira Knightley and Blake Lively have been glamorous, Stewart’s is edgier, in keeping with her personal style. Modeling Western-inspired designs giants a wooden backdrop, Stewart wears cornrows, heavily winged eyeliner and strong brows.
“This suits me because it is very American,” Stewart said of her photo shoot in a statement. “Everything today was like breathing, it was so easy, Karl knew as soon as he saw what he wanted, it was like ‘done!’ It was effortless and he’s awesome and so sweet.”
