Teen Mom 2: Leah Messer’s Ex-Husband “Won’t Ever Accept” Daughter Ali’s Muscular Dystrophy Diagnosis

Leah Messer's ex-husband, Corey Simms, is having a hard time coming to terms with daughter Aliannah's muscular dystrophy diagnosis. As he confesses in this exclusive clip from the new episode of MTV's Teen Mom 2, airing Tuesday, March 4, at 10 p.m., he's not sure he'll ever be able to accept her fate.

Messer, 21, learned earlier this season that 4-year-old Aliannah (twin sister to Aleeah) has a rare form of muscular dystrophy. The condition is degenerative and will progress as Ali gets older, eventually confining her to a wheelchair. As a result, special measures need to be taken to accommodate her.

In the new episode of Teen Mom 2, Messer and Simms sit down with their respective second spouses (Jeremy Calvert and Miranda Patterson) to discuss plans for Ali to start school early. "My only fear with it is you not being able to accept it," Messer tells her ex.

"I don't think I'll ever accept it, honestly. I don't think I will," Simms replies. "Even if it's the doctor saying it and she's wheelchair-bound when she's 14, I still won't…I don't want to accept it, and I probably won't."

Watch his emotional confession above, and tune in to Teen Mom 2 on March 4 at 10 p.m.
