Forget those online hookup rumors: Dancing With the Stars partners Aaron Carter and Karina Smirnoff aren't dating!
"It is completely false," Carter, 21, told Usmagazine.com at Monday night's performance show. "We are two people who like to be out and about and if it were true, you would have seen us out together already! And we would have been caught.

"There is nothing going on," he added.
Smirnoff joked to Us: "We are doing the time without doing the crime!"
Earlier this month, Carter told 104.3 My FM's Valentine in the Morning show he "would not want to be in the category" of guys who have dated Smirnoff, who recently called off her engagement to dance pro Maksim Chmerkovskiy.

Carter later insisted his quotes were misconstrued and he was trying to be "professional" by saying he's not "trying to hook up" with anyone on the show.

"She's amazing," Carter said of Smirnoff. "I'm sorry if it was misunderstood as being negative in any way towards Karina. Fortunately, she understood what was meant and that sometimes things are taken and repeated out of context."
