  Jon's handling of that situation was not anything new or unusual.There was an episode of the show from last year when Jon and Kate were still married,and they disciplined the twins the same way.It was summertime,and they decided that the kids should take swimming lessons.Mady and Cara were going to have their lesson first,but the sextuplets were in the pool with them.The twins had a fit because they did not want their younger siblings in the pool while they had their lesson. Because of their meltdown, Jon and Kate told them they would miss their swim lesson,made them go back in the house,and they were on punishment for the rest of the day.So I doubt that Kate would object to the way he dealt with the twins recently.I also disagree with people who say Jon is a jerk,though he was acting like one at times.You have to remember they are in the middle of a messy divorce.It is a tense situation,and all of the Gosselins are uptight and on edge right now.Plus the kids are having a hard time adjusting to the show being over. Jon was not short tempered with the twins that day.He did not yell at them or call them names.He just told them in a stern voice to get up from the table and go back in the house.I think the reason he punished them both is because they argued before Mady made her smart-aleck remark.If anything,I think he was trying to teach them they can't solve their problems by arguing. Being at each other's throats didn't help his and Kate's marriage at all.So I think he is trying to teach his kids to find a better way to solve problems.Jon and Kate need to continue the discipline because of the size of their family,and to maintain stability. Too many divorced/separated parents make the mistake of slacking off on discipline and instead spoiling the kids rotten because they feel guilty. Then the kids learn to manipulate the situation to get what they want,and they become more badly behaved.I would really hate to see that happen with the Gosselin kids.I also think it's more noticeable to the girls how differently their parents do things, because they see their parents one at a time now.Kate likes everything organized and scheduled,whereas Jon just goes with the flow.But since Jon is only able to be with them part time now,the twins need to stop being ungrateful and learn to appreciate the limited time and special occasions they have with him.

  I thought his reaction was over the top to Mady, but to punish Cara too was completely uncalled for. She hadn't said a word and was just innocently working on her poster and trying to stay out of the conflict. Jon is a big baby. This is the kind of crap that Kate has had to deal with behind the scenes for years. You may think she is mean for berating Jon, but can you imagine living with such an immature jerk and seeing him treat your children this way?

  Just a great big baby. Instead of "punishing his kids for comments they make. He should be understanding! He went on with his life while his kids are stuck in their own private hell created by their parents!! So go ahead Jon and Punish your kids!! It won't be long and they won't want to be around you. But still you won't have to take the blame for pushing your kids away by your actions!! Your like all big baby's you can blame their mother for that! Lucky you you big jerk!

  I felt that Jon's punishment of the girls was very unfair. It was obvious to me that it was he who was in a bad mood that day and he took it out on the girls. Shame on him for embarrassing his children like that.

  This made me want to cry when he made Kara cry. She was simply coloring happily and he told her to go inside and that she was aslo done. Jon Gosselin is an evil person who should get his children taken away. Kate is the obvious better person.

  what he did was unfair to the other twin because she was not acting out. Mady is going to be one big problem when she grows up, she's a whiny little girl and the other twin had to pay the price. That would be the question I have for him, why punish the second twin when it was Mady's mouth that got her in trouble?

  Nobody should be so quick to believe every ex-girlfriend and ex-nanny that says things about Jon and Kate.Whenever a celeb's life unravels like this,everybody comes out of the woodwork and make all kinds of accusations.And when it comes to ex-girlfriends and boyfriends,depending on how those relationships ended,some of them might be out for revenge and badmouth the celeb out of spite.As far as how Jon treats his kids,I would not go so far as to accuse him of being verbally abusive toward them.Verbal abuse usually includes name calling and cussing/telling someone off.I've watched the show,especially the last episode with the twins arguing,and Jon did not call them names,or cuss or any of that.So I see no evidence of him being verbally abusive to the kids.Whether he is verbally abusive to Hailey or not is another matter.While she has spoken out about how he treats her,their interactions with each other are not on display the way his interactions with Kate and his kids are.

  With all the ex-girlfriends going on record about his drug use, I believe it. It's obvious in his behavior and temperament. He's short with them and careless. I don't think he should be left alone with them. I think he is out of control. Haily has said he is verbably abusive and we've seen that with the kids. I cringe every time I hear him tell one of the boys (can't remember which one) to act like a man and stop crying, etc. He's done this many times in the past 2-3 seasons.

  i notice that they always do things with the youngest sextuplets and not cara and mady. they never take the twins. do they not care about the twins as well? i share my time with all my kids and i dont do stuff with one without the others as well.

  Team Kate and she did not beat Leah. she spanked Leah. And that is different than what Jon did. He mistreated Maddy and Cara because Maddy preferted the way Kate treats them when they do projects with her. Jon should be more organized when he tries to do projects with the kids. They are even organized at school. I didn't like the fact that he thought 5 year olds should sell lemonade by theirselves. They are not quite old enough for that yet. Jon is such a moron.

  The twins are extra SPOILED ROTTEN AND THEY NEED TO start acting their ages and step back into the "real world" especially Maddy. Everyone mades excuses for this, they ( Jon & Kate)both need to exercise good judjement and stop making lame a_ _ excuses for the unacceptable bad behavior of Maddy especially. Now Hanna is on her way to the same bad behavior and beyond also. This unacceptable behavior was very evident before any divorce proceeding were ever brought into place. Out of the 2 (jon & Kate) I personaly think Jon is a better parent. SAD.
