Michael Jackson's burial has been postponed -- again.

A rep for the singer announced Friday he'll be buried Sept. 3 at 7 p.m. PST in a private ceremony at Holly Terrace in the Great Mausoleum at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, Calif. Only family and close friends will be invited to attend.

On Thursday, Joe Jackson told TMZ.com the burial would be held on Aug. 31 -- two days after the originally planned date of Aug. 29, which would have been the King of Pop's 51st birthday.

Several members of Michael's family, including Katherine Jackson and Randy Jackson, have opposed the $6 million deal, struck by AEG Promotions, the company in charge of Michael's planned comeback tour, This Is It. A full-length movie of the same name featuring concert rehearsal footage hits theaters for two weeks beginning Oct. 28.
