  Obama gives great interviews, the 57 states thing slipped out wrong, we all do that, especially if you are tired. Palin says everything wrong, and cannot blame it on being tired. Obama has a Harvard education, Palin has a beauty pagent background.

  Ernesto, you are right on the money. The 57 state thing, had Palin said it, would have been breaking news to the liberal press. But Obama said it so it was swept under the rug or justified with the excuse that he was "tired" when he blurted it out. Of course Palin couldn't have been tired running a state, family, and political campaign! Anyone who spends hours interviewing for minutes-long sound bites is bound to say something that can be criticized. Palin's entire interview with Couric wasn't broadcast. Only the parts that made her look bad. That was a very deceptive and immoral approach due to the fact that there was an agenda. News is no longer news when it involves techniques that lead viewers and readers to reach predetermined conclusions. The word for that is propaganda.

  Republicans that love this woman do so for one reason...They feel inferior!!!. How can you tell a jounalist that you saty in touch with Washington politics by reading. It's a leading answer. Any dummy would say reading what newspapers or magazines??? It just exposed her. She really doesn't read and if she does she doesn't have a grasp of the issues.   Obama would have gotten tricked, too, if some reporters would have been out to get him. They could have asked MANY petty(not needed to rule a country) questions and he would have been wrong. SO FRIGGIN' WHAT!!! Sarah was played by Katy and others, and the liberals ate it up...Delirious tinsel liberals. YES, Obama did say we have "fifty seven" states. BUT, I believe he was confused with something else at the moment, just like Sarah could have in her moments. SARAH IS SOUND AND BEAUTIFUL.

  Did anyone ever think to ask why Obama, McCain and the others were given the questions prior to the interviews and had time to prepare when Palin was taken off guard? It is amazing that this possibility rarely comes up in these threads. BHO uses a teleprompter so we all know that the man can read. LOL There has never been a level playing field for female politicians in this country. Perhaps the media and politicians exploit this lack of emotional maturity. Ireland,India and Germany do not have this issue...

  Couric's lack of intelligence makes me cringe. She has always conducted her interviews with an agenda. Couric is predictable and boring. Couric should have focused on oil policies, oil production in Alaska, management styles but no...she focused on fluff.

  It's already been made apparent that she didn't write the book either, like many celebrities. It's not easy to write a coherent book that people are interested in reading, so I think there is real disrespect from her for the true author of her book. For me the difference between Palin and Obama is the intelligence factor and the ability to represent America to the rest of the world. We've had the Bubba factor and look at how that turned out. Sarah needs to go back to school and learn basic History and government. Otherwise, I just look at her as a quitter.

  To CD@1:08 Dear CD, I believe you meant you'd be the first one NOT to support an anti-women campaign. As for manipulating facts, what politician doesn't? Do you honestly believe that Obama doesn't manipulate facts so that they fit his personal goals? And can you say with a straight face that Obama doesn't blame his actions on others? Listen to him closely. Nothing is ever HIS fault. With him, the buck stops way o'er there. "Getting out the bucket and mopping up the past administration's mess" can only be pulled for so long. It's getting to be ridiculous at this point. Back to my point, I ask why should a woman (Palin) be overly scrutinized but not a man (Obama)? My guess is because it's still a man's world. Liberal/moderate/conservative women need to unite against ALL woman bashing. Period.
