At Paris fashion week, Chanel sent models down the runway wearing ankle wallets that resemble the alcohol monitoring devices recently worn by celebs like Lindsay Lohan and Eve. Have celebrity ankle monitors made it chic to wear above-the-foot accessories?

I think it is stupid that there is a comparison being made between ANKLE MONITORS and ANKLE WALLETS. Ankle wallets have been around for much longer than the monitoring devices. Athletic companies have been making them for years. They are useful if the person wearing them cannot carry a regular wallet or handbag for the activity they are doing. Chanel simply decided to make the sporty accoutrement more fashionable. I think it's an awesome example of fashion meets function. Especially since I work at a bar and there are dozens of stupid drunk girls who lose their purses week after week. For all of you who think celebs in rehab set this "trend"-don't just look at the pictures... learn how to read.
