Chris Noth made a great detective on Law and Order, but he was so boring on Criminal Intent, especially after watching Vincent D'Onofrio for so long. I stopped watching all of the Criminal Intent episodes without D'Onofrio. I wished they never split that show up like that.

I'm glad Chris is leaving the show. He didn't add anything to it. I wish they went back to all D'Onofrio, but since they aren't I can hardly wait to watch the great Jeff Goldblum. I hope they make his character as brilliant and as quirky as D'Onofrio's character.

Julianne Nicholson is okay at best and didn't Noth get her that role?
It sounds like Goldblum's character will be similar to D'Onfrio and no way Goldblum comes close. D'Onfrio has mastered his character and Noth had mastered Mike Logan long ago on Law & Order. Not to mention Noth & D'Onfrio are talented actors. Goldblum needs to go to Over-Actors Anonymous and perhaps learn to play a character other than an unrealistic weirdo.
I won't even bother watching the episodes with Goldblum and Nicholson.
Bring back Noth & Sciorra or just leave us with Goren and Eames!

Noth was the best thing to ever happen to L&O. I waited for years for him to come back. Now just as his charactor is really developing, he's leaving. Probably making the same old mistake other actors do. Someone says ,"Hey we'll pay you allot of money to have your own show. they leave a great situation, just to have the new show fall to pieces and he's out of L&O again. Well maybe he'll be back in another 6 or 7 years. If it doesn't kill his TV standings. If he's not careful he might be the dead person at the beginning of a show.

I will miss seeing Chris Noth on L&O:CI and I agree the show won't be the same without him.I think Jeff Goldblum will be great on Criminal Intent and I have been a fan of Chris Noth since he was on the original L&O with Jerry Orbach.

Chris Noth is a damn good actor and a good fit for this tv show. He is the reason I started watching criminal intent to. Goren and Eames or cool to but Chris Noth was my favorite and my favorite episode was with the police department and FIre depertment feuding. Hopefully he comes back. HIm on SVU would be even great with Benson and stabler.

CHRIS NOTH LEAVING!!!! I was in Iraq and was able to get the one Law & Order show with him in it on television, that's the only reason I watched the show! I think that the writers want the show to fail so they can go onto bigger things, by hiring Jeff that was a BIG, BIG mistake, he is not Law & Order material AT ALL!! Bad move guys..

Give Jeff Goldblum a break. He's hasn't been seen on the show and already he's being panned. If I were casting I don't think he would have been on my A-List but who knows. They said the same about Heath Ledger when it was announced that he would play the Joker and now look at how great he is in the role. Too bad he died before seeing his acting achievement realized---an entirely different role than the one he played in Brokeback Mountain. Goren and Eames are my very favorites but let's give Jeff a chance before booing.

How disappointing! Initially I resented Chris Noth taking episodes that I thought belonged to D'Onofrio, but he has developed this role to the extent I really look forward to seeing him. A poor decision on the part of the producers - Goldblum does not appeal in this role at all. Like the other Law and Orders, it is headed for a down turn.

I am sorry to hear Noth is leaving, but I understand. He is not in his element on CI. The show needs to go back to Vincent and Kathryn on every week. They are the show and have developed solid characters. The show does need to get back to some really good writing. The story lines are not up to par for Vincent. He is too too talented for poor writing and story lines. Noth should be put back on Law and Order. That show has really hit bottom since Jerry's retirement and unfortunate death. Noth has what it takes to revive that show. Goldberg should be great on the show if they let his talent lead the show and not the writers.

Chris Noth is the only reason I watch L&A Criminal Intent. I think this is a bummer.

please, what else? my husband and i love the show when cris noth is on. we could care less who his partner is! i hope he gets his own show, he's great!

I honestly think that Noth's character was a weak one and wish that Vincent D'Onofrio and Kathyrn Erbe were on every week. They make the show memorable. Their on-screen relationship brings me back to the TV set every weekend. I honestly don't care that Noth is leaving and I don't know why they're having Goldblum replace him. They should just have D'Onofrio and Erbe on every weekend.

I wish Chris Noth was not leaving. I will not watch with Jeff Goldblum. I would rather they just have Vincent on every week.

I can't stand it. I quit watching Law&Order years ago, when they fired Chris Noth. I was so happy to see him back on the show. Now, this. :(
