Chris Martin: I Feared I'd Be the Guy "No One Wants to Have Sex With"

 Val Malone/WireImage.com Coldplay singer Chris Martin admits he was a late bloomer. He tells the new issue of Rolling Stone (on newsstands now), "I had a tricky time with girls until I was, like, 21. "I got trapped in the friendship tip many, many times," adds Martin, whose band's new disc Viva La Vida drops June 17. "It was like, 'I need to be a rock star because this is no good: Being the kind of guy that everybody likes but no one wants to have sex with,'" Martin recalls. "I don't want to be the person that makes everybody laugh before they go off and bang. I want to be the guy that everybody bangs." Still, he admits he hasn't had a lot of hot-and-heavy romances in his life. He says Gwyneth Paltrow is his only "serious relationship. "Is that weird? I don't think it's that weird," the singer says. "It wouldn't be weird 200 years ago... Think of Romeo and Juliet." He says that he enjoys the challenge of being married to the Oscar-winner, with whom he has two children: Apple, 4, and Moses, 2. "I always felt it would be great to be with a very powerful woman because it would keep you in your place," he says. "Being married to someone very successful and very powerful basically keeps you hungry to improve." Addressing her relationship with ex Brad Pitt, he adds: "You've got to be hungry. i'm not really interested in mainstream music these days...but i think coldplay became larger than their own lives and now they're chasing phantoms (or ghosts of albums past: radiohead, U2, etc.) always thought this band was just meant to be a small indie group...

The truth is that Chris Martin is not all that attractive. He's not ugly but he's not the kind of guy that women clamor to give up some A$$ to.. And if he wasn't the lead singer for COLDPLAY, Paltrow wouldn't have given him the time of DAY! And that's just the truth. He looks like a geek with a make over. We all know that! Just so happens that this particular geek has talent and a lot of it. The kind of talent that makes you rich and famous. So of course he gets a woman like Paltrow. But if he wasn't rich and talented his a$$ would STILL be the friend that girls turn to for comfort and friendship, but don't give any A$$ up! Look at all these UGLY sports figures that get hot women and they look like they have been hit in the face repeatedly with a baseball bat! It's because of the money, fame, and power! DUH!. Women will trade having to be with someone homely all their lives for security. EVERYONE with any common sense knows that is in fact the truth. Just like a man will spend ALL his money on a hot woman just so he can say he's got her or knows in his mind he's the one twisting her out.
