It's no joke: Kathy Griffin's a minister.
The crass comedienne, 47, who was recently ordained online by the Universal Life Church, officiated a wedding in NYC Saturday, New York's Daily News reports.
The 10-minute service for Brian Anstey and Elka Shapiro ranged from telling raunchy jokes to having the bride recite the reception menu.
"The request came in, and how could I say no?" said Griffin, who also completed additional paperwork to meet New York State requirements. "I love that this couple just want to have fun. They're my kind of people."
The wedding will air on her Bravo reality show, My Life on the D-List, in June.
Griffin is currently dating Apple co-founderSteve Wozniak.

it would be awesome to get married by one of (what i consider) the queens of comedy! i think it would be a great wedding! you would be having so much fun, and everyone would be laughing! and besides, when is D-List coming back on?

My dad is pastor and this is bull.
Marriage is supposed to be something sacred and Kathy Griffin made it into a big joke.
I don't know what I have more of a problem with Kathy Griffin being a minister or that couple wanting to be married by her.
The whole thing is sickening!

This is the tackiest thing I have ever heard of. Why on earth would Kathy Griffin want to be a minister anyway. She's made it perfectly clear how she feels about God and Jesus Christ, and now she's marrying people? Hey Kathy, guess who invented marriage? GOD DID! Kathy Griffin makes me sick.
