RIP Donda. My sympathy to her son & extended family. As a RN, my advice is before ANY surgery ask around, make some phone calls & check the web before going under the knife. Your life may depend on it. Be proactive in your health care!

This headline is very misleading. I don't think she died as a consquence of plastic surgery...the report says "the final manner of death could not be determined."

Hence why the 1st surgeon she went too would not do the surgery without clearance from an internal med physician. This horrible tragedy was as much her fault as the surgeon who did the surgery! I am sorry if that sounds heartless, but if you are going to elect to have certain surgeries done u need to make sure that your body physically can handle it properly.

But, sometimes for people to learn things horrible tragedies such as these have to happen.

I was so disheartened to learn of Donda West's death that I called the ABPS (American Board of Plastic Surgery - 1-215-587-9322) - to inquire as to whether her surgeon, Dr. Jan Adams, was in fact a board certified plastic surgeon. He was not. Next I called the ABMS (American Board of Medical Specialties - 1-847-9091) - to inquire about his board certification. The only such physician the ABMS had on record, Dr. Jan Thatcher Adams, is board certified in Family Medicine. If Donda West had only made those two phone calls, she very well might have saved her life.

It's still a shame Kanye's mom died, but at least we know a real factor that played in her death!

I personally think she is a beautiful lady and it's people who comment about how ugly she is that make hollywood the stereotype it is today. If somebody looked at you everyday and said you were ugly, don't you think it's possible that you would contemplate drastic measures to change someones opinion?

If plastic surgery were that bad that 95% of Hollywood would be dead. Just sayin
