Aniston to Guest Star on Dirt

Courteney Cox has announced that her best friend, Jennifer Aniston, 37, will make a guest appearance on her new show, Dirt, in which Cox plays the editor of a weekly celebrity magazine.

"We talk about it all the time,” Cox, 42, tells Extra in an interview scheduled to air on Wednesday. “What kind of character she should play, should she play herself or should we write some great thing for her…She'll come on for sure!"

Aniston said she’s game for the cameo. “I would love to – if I was invited," she revealed to Extra. "Just to be able to work with my girl again! We have talked about it, we’ve danced around it.”

If you haven’t seen the show, you can check out an excerpt from the premiere and the extended promo, above. Naturally, we tuned in to see how close it came to home, and found ourselves disappointed in how much the show was off in its portrayal of our daily office life.

First of all, we don’t use pills to get through the night. We use caffeine. Pills are strictly daytime. As for the dramatic, Treo sh-t-talking power point presentation, they got that wrong as well -- we use Cingular, not Sprint.

what I dont understand. it doesnt matter what Jen does. Everyone rips on her. Courtney knowns darn well, her ratings will sky rocket with jen on her show. why do you skeptics feel the need to down Jen??? I have no more to say. Other than Cort doesnt need jen, it is just a great up for the show

Is this another excuse to push herself into the spotlight? I certainly hope they aren't crass enough to do a show along the lines of Aniston's real-life breakup with Pitt. It's OVER. MOVE ON. She's already has a relationship (which she denied) with Vince Vaughn. It ended (she finally admits they were a couple and they have NOT split), then it really ends. Hmph. Why is everyone still harping on Aniston and Pitt? Why not harp on Aniston and Vaughn and omit Pitt? All of my friends and I are sick to death of Aniston and her "Poor, pitiful me" image. Yeah, she had her heart broken. So have MANY other women. See a therapist and learn how to move on. Clinging to the past will do no good. And if she does a "tell-all" book about her and Pitt. OMG. LET GO ALREADY. It's gone past ridiculous. A book like that will make her into a complete joke. What is the deal about her being so beautiful?? I don't see it. There are those that find her attractive, and she has a decent figure. BUT, not every man likes a dieted-within-an-inch-of-her-life woman. Gimme a lady with curves. There are thousands of woman much more attractive/beautiful with just as good, if not better, bodies than Aniston. I think she needs to take a break from all the publicity BS and find herself.

Jen is doing her best friend a favor. Courtney's show is going to get a rating boost when she appears! Aniston has her own production company and she has also directed her first short movie. She doesn't need Courtney or anyone to help with her career. Get real people!

I'm so sick and tired of hearing about how beautiful Jennifer Aniston is. Are people blind or what? Yes, she has a good body but her face looks like a freakin man!! She has a huge, sharp jawline and a huge nose that by the way, in pictures is shaded with makeup. During the friends season, Courtney Cox was much more beautiful and she never got any attention like Jennifer. Was Brad Pitt a jerk for leaving her for ANgelina? Yes!! Is Jennifer a nice person? Probably! But she isn't a looker!

Yes! I've watched the first 2 shows along with my teenage daughters and we all agree the show is and will be a winner. Cutting edge t.v. original considering all the crime dramas out there and Courtney does an excellent job. Jen on? she needs to play a cynical or out of control character. Something different then what we're used to seeing her play. You know, have her actually act??

Dear Anita....Clive Owens does have the ability to look both vicious and kind within a matter of minutes...I am insanely attracted to him.....he is smokin'....Jennifer needs to drop the Rachel and play a bad ass role...and she has to not be afraid to let the roots show, the eyebrows all askew etc...sort of a Charlize Theron type thing...she should definitely play a woman who kills men.(and vixens)...and put all of the emotion she felt because of her cheating spouse out there..and let the chips fall where they may...
