EXCLUSIVE: Britney's Mom: "It's Sad the Whole World Had to Watch Her Make Mistakes"

For the first time since their rift over her stint in rehab, Britney Spears' mother has broken her silence and talks to Us Weekly about some of the
difficulties her famous daughter has faced this past year.
"You go into a time in your life with the world watching and you are just trying to figure yourself out," Lynne Spears tells Us in an exclusive interview that is featured in the latest issue of the magazine. "It's sad that the whole world had to watch her make mistakes that all of us have made at one time or another."
Earlier this year, the pop star found herself in a downward spiral that culminated in a wild public meltdown that featured video footage of her shaving her head in a California salon and lashing out against a photographer¹s car with an umbrella before she checked into rehab.
And her famous blond locks weren¹t the only thing the mother of two cut off at that time.
"She decided that she had to cut out everyone who was using her, and that included her parents," says a source of Spears, 26.
The estrangement was especially hard on the pop star's mother.
"Lynne was like Britney's best friend, so when Britney started partying and her mom tried to control her, she got mad," a family source explains.
Happily, the two reconciled on June 10, speaking for the first time in months and quietly taking their first steps back to a peaceful relationship.
And now Lynne tells Us Weekly how she and her daughter are coping.
"Britney Jean Spears is the sweetest and the most sensitive and loving of all my children," the mother of three tells Us. "She¹s just figuring things out."

Britney is mentally sick and is in need of help. The woman has resorted to childish sh*t to keep her name alive as other party women like Paris, Lindsay, Nicole and Anna Nicole (RIP) and pop stars like Kelly Clarkson, Christina and Beyonce have been STEALING HER THUNDER! Big deal if she's been in the public eye since 1999, she made the choice to be an entertainer and if she wants to self-destruct so be it!
Life's about choices (some people have disabilities and cannot make choices and people make choices for them)!
The woman is on the road to be the next Dana Plato (a child star dead). I don't see either a Drew Barrymore-ish comeback or her career end up like Linda Blair (a child star whose career went up in flames after being arrested for cocaine in 1977).
Britney, in retrospect, should have been with her dying aunt instead of partying and puking.

This is reference to 'Nick the Nazi'. You obviously have issues of your own. You're probably broke that's why you made comments about Brit's money. If you have never been in the celebrity spotlight then how would know what she is going through. You have no clue what growing up as a celebrity is like. Personally, by the level of your mentality, you probably be dead yourself, or ruining your family by being a needle happy punk. Everyone is entitled to their opinion but seriously, you are WAY out of line. It's a shame that you hold some much hate for someone that you don't even know. Everyone in life makes bad decisions and some do it over and over again. She has done more good things in her life for others and that's more than you could ever even think about trying to do. She got famous, married, and had children too young. She never had her partying time like most of us have in our late teens/early twenties. She is surrounded by people who use her and never say no to her. You never heard much about Britney partying until after she left Kevin. I'm sure she finally realized he was just using her. She appeared to be very in love with him, it has to be devistating to come to the conclusion that who you love never really loved you. Yes, she is an adult who made bad choices and has to suffer the consequences but give the girl a break. Going through a divorce and personal problems is hard for all of us but imagine being that young and having people following you everywhere taking pictures.

Umm her mom said “mistakes that all of us have made at one time or another”. I don’t know very many people that have had neglected their own children while they’re out partying, had a complete psychotic breakdown, and shaved their head winding them up in rehab. Are these mistakes everyone makes? Maybe I’m just outa the loop. Or maybe its just mistakes that Spears family makes. Either way, Britney is a freak. Her mom is a freak too.

the more i hear about Britney's story the more i have compassion for Britney - her mother sounds like a traitor to put it bluntly - she is being supported by Britney, seems to care more about living her life in luxury than to really care and learn about what is going on with her daughter - and then she tops is off by forming a "friendship" with Shar???!!
