Becks and Posh To Move To U.S., Provide Us With More Material

Posh and Becks are coming stateside. David Beckham agreed to a five-year $250 million deal with the Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer, leaving the Real Madrid club.

Beckham, the former English captain who also played for Manchester United, will join the Galaxy after his contract with Real Madrid expires on June 30.

"I am proud to have played for two of the biggest clubs in football and I look forward to the new challenge of growing the world's most popular game in a country that is as passionate about its sport as my own," he said in a statement released Thursday.

The move was announced following the end of talks on extending the 31-year-old English midfielder's contract with the Spanish club. MLS recently changed its rules on salary caps, clearing the way for Beckham to sign the lucrative deal.

The folks at Best Week Ever consulted some statisticians, who had some predictions for what will unfold once Beckham and his Spice-Girl-in-matrimony, Victoria Beckham, 32, land on American soil.

· 98 percent chance Posh & Becks will convert to Scientology.

· 93 percent chance Tom Cruise starts to creep them out and they leave the church, only to find their lives ruined soon after.

· 92 percent chance L.A. will sell out of self-tanner.

· 54 percent chance Victoria Beckham overtakes Nicole Richie’s “Most Visible Clavicle” Award.

To which we add: 62 percent chance Becks will become disoriented by all of the rotund fake boobies, and administer some penalty kicks to the silicone-enhanced chests of several unsuspecting women before the LAPD finally manages to bring him down.

What is it with everyone slating them? David beckham is a great football player, ok so 500m is a bit much, but they dont spend money like that on just anyone, and fair enough he may not have a deep manly voice, but neither has justin timberlake, he sounds like a 15 year old girl.
Now Victoria..... You all go on about her being ugly, annorexic, talentless etc, WTF! For a start she was a bigger celeb worldwide long before david was, if you dont remember she was in the biggest selling girl band of all time. She has a body to die for, and as far as im concerned a few more people should take heed of how she can control her weight and not have 50 kilos of fat hanging from her gut! She has had 2 successfull solo albums accross europe and the uk, voted the best body 5 years in a row, voted as one of the worlds top 100 most beautiful women, has an amazing fashion line, and will make a great presenter.
Stop slating her, your just jealous, 10 years of front page news every day in the uk and europe means she is doing something right, that alone is a talent in itself.
They are a fantastic English couple, and contrary to what people say on here, WE in the uk Are not sick of them, in a recent poll of 100,000 74% wants them to return to the uk where they are appreciated. They are true royalty, and they deserve a chance.

The USA paid him 500 MILLION to kick a ball, regardless if he is good, which he is by the way, He is NOT American and that money does NOT include his living allowance, meaning house and family expenses. Also, David is a friend of TOMKAT and she, VICTORIA is one of the best friend of Katie Holmes, sooo, JOLIE Haters and INSECURE Women, Victoria has nothing to worry about. I am really excited about this I am a big fan of Victoria Beckham I love her music and she is my one and only fashion icon. But I am worried too because this can be a major defining point of the strength their marriage has. Their last big move to Spain from the UK put a strain on them and both their careers particularly Victoria’s music career. Also in the midst on their transition, suspicions of infidelity were on David with his P.A. so if they make it to L.A. and live happily ever after I will be happily surprised.

I am excited that the beckham's have chosen to move to the united states and show there kids the all american life style since america is a little different than england. Its also going to be nice to read about something other that the brad pitt and angelina jolie clan. I also wanted to say to the person who said "Why don't you see then with there kids?" i would just like to say in responce that when you go out at night, or when you go to a wedding you do not bring your children with you, and you have to remember that they spend a good portion of there day with the kids, and that the photographers are not around them 24/7. Good luck to the Beckhams and i can not wait to see some new eye candy in the magazines!

DAVID ROCKS! This man is beyond gorgeous and Victoria is such a style icon! He blows all the movie stars out of the water! (unfortunately, Brad Pitt is getting a bit old) And no girl/woman/star in Hollywood has matched Victoria is the style department. She always looks so polished and has the best accessories ever! She may not be pretty but the woman sure knows style and she always looks very well put together! Can't wait for this striking couple to land!

love me some beckhams! can't wait for the possible victoria beckham talk show, the film career with tom kat, the line of bedding that is supposed to compete along side martha stewart, the cosmetic and fragrance line (already wearing david's signature), the possible comeback album (her last single went to #3 in the uk...actually a fun club song), the lines of sunglasses and jeans for VB style and rock & republic, all of the endorsements for the likes of ford, adidas, tylenol, mcdonalds, chevrolet, yup, yup....looks like a very merry beckham summer. can't wait. danno

Both he and his mentally deficient, attention seeking wife have been in the U.K. press constantly for nearly a decade, and belive me, the British public are well and truly sick of them. This is the BEST NEWS EVER! OMG! I can't wait for Becks to move to the States. Summer 2007 is going to rock! US Weekly must do a cover story on the beckhams. David is the most attractive man in Hollywood. Brad Pitt, Justin Timberlake, Chris Evans V, Marcus Patrick, & Columbus Short has nothing on David. Victoria is a major fashion icon, she's a trend setter. Hope she participates in this year's Fashion Week. I would love to see Victoria on a few episodes of Ugly Betty. She can finally promote her book That Extra Half An Inch. Also the Becks should promote their perfume collection. PLEASE NO MORE BRITNEY STORIES, JUST FOCUS ON THE BECKHAMS!!!
