FACEBOOKI was a late bloomer and recently discovered The Frasier show. Honestly I think DHP really made the show, it absolutely would have not been the same without him. The romance between He and Daphne gave me goosebumps so I have to be honest I was a little disappointed to learn that he
was gay...but that really doesn't matter what does is that he is a great actor and we all love him.

Frasier star and Tony-nominated actor David Hyde Pierce is officially out of the closet. But was he pushed?
AfterElton.com reports that a recent AP article casually alluded to Pierce's "partner," Brian Hargrove. While this normally wouldn't ring any alarms, Pierce, 48, has never spoken about the topic publicly, and has previously said "I don't talk about my personal life."
When the website called Pierce's reps to confirm the pairing, they were told that the AP story was accurate.
The announcement comes shortly after Pierce was controversially named in Out Magazine's "Gay Power List." While AfterElton claims that Pierce's sexuality "has always been an open secret within the artistic community," it looks like he, like Lance Bass, T.R. Knight and Neil Patrick Harris before him, was nudged by the press to make it officially known.

I am so proud that David has come out. I hope that people reflect...yes reflect..upon the news. It's great that people in the theatre can be themselves...it's not always that easy for others. Jeez..if actors coming out causes this kind of response, imagine what what its like living in picket-fence nowhere land.

I never thought otherwise. To me, there was never any doublt that Mr. Pierce was gay. So what? He is unbelievably talented. Charismatic and totally hilarious when portraying Niles Crane. Who cares what his sexual orientation is? It's not like I would ever get the chance to sleep with him. But, as sexy as he is, I did have a fantasy or two.

To Anoymous; I have seen Curtians and my brother and I grew up in Saratoga Springs and my brother went to highschool with David. Let me tell you a gay man does not kiss with toung and guess David kissed me with toung for 10 minutes straight infront of his so called life partner. At the end of the kiss he said "God Your Beautiful, call me".

Who the hell cares as to what actors/actresses/singers/sports figures are gay.We should be more concerned with the environment such as the global warming,pollution,poisoning of our foods,different types of illnesses that still need a cure for;such as cancer,diabetes,etc.We should also be more concerned with terrorism,kidnappings of people,esp innocent children,abuse-verbal,sexual,physical,any form of cruelty to people as well as animals! These topics are more IMPORTANT than wondering & speculating as to who will come out of the goddamned closet like its some celebration!

David Hyde Pierce has the singular most accurate comic timing and best ever physical comedy. His being gay only confirms my suspicions that he is one of the finest and most underrated actors of our time, as he had fantastic chemistry with Jane Leeves that maintained a will-they-won't-they story arc for 7 seasons (bear in mind the Ross and Rachel arc folded after 2). I proudly despise anyone who is homophobic and therefore, his sexual status is of little consequence to me, especially as I will likely never meet him. I just wanted to use the opportunity to laud one of my favourite actors.

I am a little disappointed David, I had such a crush on you. I used to watch Frasier just rooting for you and Daphne to get together. You made sensitivity and nurturing seem like a paramount part of noble men of good breeding. Now I can't think of you without the thought of your Brian doing Lewd things to you, the thought of two middle aged men lying together... =( well let's just say it is really disappointing. I wish your private life were kept private. You are indeed a good actor!

For David Hyde Pierce's # 1 fan, I must say thats not true. And it is not a fact. I have nothing against David Hyde Pierce being gay, he is so talented and it is irrelevant. Although you do not need to know this, My step Uncle is in the show 'Curtains,' which David Hyde Pierce is starring in. My step uncle's name is Michael X Martin if you don't believe me, anyways David Hyde Pierce does have a partner, and his name is Brian Hargrove. My step uncle has seen him, and in David Hyde Pierc's bio from the playbill, the last line is "this is for Brian". So you are wrong, and you don't know it for a fact.

The only real 'problem' I can logically see anyone having with finding out someone is gay is the fact that the 1 in a million chance of getting laid by an idol which allows for entertaining daydreams is now wiped into oblivion & for some reason, it saddens them. Not that they'd get it anyway . . .
But what I am quite curious (curiosity being another of those reasons people must know) about the comment by David Hyde Pierce #1 Fan . . . these facts would be based on . . .?

Why would it be of a concern that Mr. Pierce is gay? He keps me laughing,seems nice and thats his personal business....congrats Mr.Pierce.......I don't care if you was messing in the center of your living room floor....as long as youre happy. Is there nothing else in the world on which to focus? I really could give less than two drops of monkey ball sweat that David Hyde Pierce is gay. Does being gay make one a better actor? Worse actor? Probably not. Perhaps I need to go back and watch every single episode of Frazier to see if I will still laugh my bleep off like I did before hearing this "news" to see.
My guess is that it won't change a thing.

who cares if he's gay? he's a great actor! besides that, it's been unspoken knowledge for years. I just cannot figure out why it is so important for people to have to declare which way they swing. it doesn't change WHO they are, and when it gets right down to it, how does their preference in the bedroom affect our lives on a personal level?
