Jennifer Grey, who played "Baby" opposite Patrick Swayze in their iconic 1987 movie Dirty Dancing, calls the actor's pancreatic cancer diagnosis "so sad.
"If I saw him on the streets today, I'd throw my arms around him and love him up," the actress, now 47, tells Britain's Telegraph.
Celebs are pouring out support for the actor, 55, who is currently undergoing chemotherapy.
The View's Whoopi Goldberg said her Ghost co-star is the reason she won an Oscar.
Lea Thompson, Swayze's 1984 Red Dawn costar, tells Usmagazine.com she has no doubt the actor will pull through.
"I've known Patrick for so long," she says. "He's a really great guy, and I love him so much.
"He was such a great dancer, too. He will definitely be resilient — us dancers are tough!"

I also at 57 was diagnosed with colon/liver cancer at the same time as you. So I know the road your on. Just remember before every treatment, test, or waiting nervously for results - Do what I do. I pray God gives me the Strength to go through it and the Grace to survive it. So far he has never let me down and he also added a few miracles along the way that I logged in a book. Just to remind me of His Healing Power when I start to falter alittle. You and your family have been in my prayers since I heard about it. You'll make it,just be Positive every day. God Bless, Stella

For the nasty person who said something about Jennifer Grey calling herself a dancer.....learn to read, Lea Thompson is the one who said that. And even if Jennifer did say it, don't you think she had to learn to do a little dancing to be in a movie called Dirty DANCING!!!! Give the petty crap a rest and just pray for Patrick!

I was so sorry to hear about Patrick's cancer diagnosis. I think he is a great actor, and I have really enjoyed his movies. He really rocked America in Red Dawn. That was a great movie and was an inspiration to a lot of us who were looking at going into the service. I wish the best for him and I hope he wins the fight.

FYI Ettusha...Jennifer Grey is the daughter of very famous dancer Joel Grey. Jennifer Grey also danced quite a lot in a little movie called "Dirty Dancing". She's a dancer in the sense that she's danced at some point in her life. She's no Patrick Swezey...but she's a dancer in a loose sense of the word.
Such sad news that he's suffering from a very dangerous and painful form of cancer. Too bad he smoked so much for so long.

I've met Patrick Swayze at a DVD signing for his last dance movie with his wife and he was so nice! I was completely speechless and he made the effort to talk to me, even after he signed my dvd. He's a really sweet man and my heart goes out to him and his family!

My Heart and Prayers go out to him and his Family as this is a Disease that takes a lot of Lives, and it isn't fair that Good People are being having this Illness, but it is hard to take, as I liked him in the Movie Ghost and Dirty Dancing, and all I can say is the Movie Ghost really touched me as the Song it it Unchained Melody, has made me play it more as I am a DJ, and play a lot of Weddings, and it is one song that has touched the Lives of Many Couples, because of this Movie, so all I can say is God Speed as he has touched the Lives of Many, and his Marriage is Strong and I pray he will Beat this Disease.
