He may play Johnny Depp's dad in the latest installment, but it's doubtful Keith Richards will live to see the next.

The Rolling Stones alum was kidding when he said he snorted a mixture of cocaine and his dad’s cremated remains, but Disney, the parent company behind Pirates of the Caribbean isn’t laughing.

Richards, who was a rock star prior to becoming a dried-apple refrigerator magnet, is making a cameo as Teague Sparrow, father of Johnny Depp’s Jack Sparrow in the upcoming Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End.

The Mouse House is in a tizzy over what to do about Richards’ remarks, and is banning the rocker from promoting the film, which opens May 25.

"When [a senior Disney publicist] forwarded the [Richards] story to me ... I thought, 'How are we going to spin this?' " Dennis Rice, Disney's senior vice president for publicity told the Los Angeles Times.

As a result, the rep said, “Keith won’t be doing a lot of publicity for this movie.”

He wouldn’t have been available to, anyway. He’s got plans to freebase Goofy.

Apparently Disney has had their heads in the sand for a zillion years, WHO IS NOT AWARE of Keith Richards life style? Like one of you said, his fathers ashes would be the least worriesome thing he probably ever smoked, swallowed and, or shot up. I was a big fan of Keith's as a teen, and we are about the same in age; but he has really aged badly due to his life style.
Yes, Disney does worry about their image, as they should, but I do not think that children are aware of Richards life style. He is way to old for them to be knowledgable of where he has been and where he is now. Where Johnny Depp fashioned his character after Richards, I say, let it go Disney..... This time!

Umm, why the hell is Disney surprised at this? This is Keith friggin Richards we are talking about. Snorting ashes is probably the least worrisome of the substances the man has ingested in his body.
