Here is something else to consider. Drugs and alcohal aside, Lindsay was a nightmare for producers and directors. William H. Macy even said working with her was taxing because she never showed up on time. And Lindsay carried herself like the rest of the world should bow down to her. She learned this from Dina. It seems that society rewards looks over intelligence, and charisma over character. I am deeply saddened not only by this obsurd "award", but also by the organization that hosted the event. It should speak volumes for the calliber of people we are surrounded by in a media driven world.

I don't think that you can totally judge a parent by the choices that their kids make...My mom had 4 kids...2 turned out great and 2 didn't...How are you going to judge her!! Parent's are to blame when the kid is 18 and younger but once the kids moves out and is on their own....they make their own choices and decisions!! Even though they had great parents doesn't mean that they are going to turn out great...and if they had bad parents doesn't mean that they are going to turn out bad...Only the child desides once they are an adult how they are going to live their lives!!!

This is not a mom who should be rewarded. What is this world coming to. She uses her kids to get herself in the spotlite. Thats why she stays so close to Lindsy, Lindsy is ALWAYS in the spotlite (screwing her life and reputation at that). Whats sad is, Dina knows what she is (horrible mother), and would except such a reward. OMG!!

I think it is ridiculous that they would give her this award. I agree with everyone who said that mothers stand by there children through the ups and downs but she is walking her younger daughter right into the same trap as Lindsay got caught in. What she needs to do is to stress education to her younger children and not the partying or being rich and famous. I am pretty sure there are mothers in Long Island who actually deserve this award but because they are not on the cover of every magazine they do not get the award. WHAT A CROCK!!!
