She is "such a dedicated mom ... through all the ups and downs of Lindsay, she has been by her side," the foundation's president said.
Dina will debut her new E! reality show on Memorial Day.

Only in today's world would people think Dina Lohan deserves a "Top Mom" award. This is no offense to the Long Island people, but what the h*ll are you all smoking? Only does Dina win an award for clubbing with her daughter, letting her go to clubs when she's underage, letting her drink when she was underage, become an alcoholic, a constant partier, a va-jay-jay flasher, pictures of her posing naked for a magazine, a floozy among the men, a careless, irresponsible woman who doesn't know how to be respectful and show up on movie sets to do a job, a liar, a drug addict, a person that gets charged with a DUI, someone that leaves a car crash, and lets not forget a person that has went to rehab 3 times all in ONE year, and at the tender age of being in her early 20's. Yes, Dina Lohan, you deserve an award for being a perfect mother. ::sarcasm::

Oh, NO! She is not in the Top 10. I can figure out a dozen who are much better than her. Just this morning, I saw some comment on her blog at the celeb site _wealthychats.c om_, many of us are against her as the top mom. I wondered how the Mingling Moms get such a result.

I don't think that you can totally judge a parent by the choices that their kids make...My mom had 4 kids...2 turned out great and 2 didn't...How are you going to judge her!! Parent's are to blame when the kid is 18 and younger but once the kids moves out and is on their own....they make their own choices and decisions!! Even though they had great parents doesn't mean that they are going to turn out great...and if they had bad parents doesn't mean that they are going to turn out bad...Only the child desides once they are an adult how they are going to live their lives!!!

This is not a mom who should be rewarded. What is this world coming to. She uses her kids to get herself in the spotlite. Thats why she stays so close to Lindsy, Lindsy is ALWAYS in the spotlite (screwing her life and reputation at that). Whats sad is, Dina knows what she is (horrible mother), and would except such a reward. OMG!!

I think it is ridiculous that they would give her this award. I agree with everyone who said that mothers stand by there children through the ups and downs but she is walking her younger daughter right into the same trap as Lindsay got caught in. What she needs to do is to stress education to her younger children and not the partying or being rich and famous. I am pretty sure there are mothers in Long Island who actually deserve this award but because they are not on the cover of every magazine they do not get the award. WHAT A CROCK!!!

Standing by your child is what mothers DO...regardless if they are on the payroll as their "manager" or not. A GOOD mother does her best to shepherd her child through life's challenges and admits when there's a problem. Put her in a NATIONAL contest for "Top Mothers" and see how she does...not just on Long Island!!
I think that any mother who sits back and watches the demise of her own child, whether it involves turning this child into a basic tramp or a "swinging" valueless person, deserves something, but a Mother's Day reward is not exactly what I was considering as appropriate. Look what had to happen to Britney Spears before her parents stepped in. She truly hit the skids while most of this insensitive world laughed and made fun of her. If her parents had done something while they were raising her as a child to encourage her to be something other than what she unfortunately turned into, maybe this scenario would have played out differently, in her favor. These so-called "mothers" deserve no recognition other than what is being said about them by just about everyone, they're a bunch of losers!!!!!!!
