I was looking at Al Sharpton's webpage. The headline was "What's going on In Black America." That is extremely rascist. Notice how when he and jesse jackson are talking, when referring to white people they say "YOU PEOPLE." That is not right at all. First of all, if someone were to make a website that said "What's going on in White America," they would be called rascist and a whole bunch of names; and probably be forced to take their website off the web. My understanding is that we are supposed to be a united people. not just one group. We are the United States of America. The blacks segregate themselves more than any of the whites do.

No Imus should not have been fired..So what if he said something to offend bleep Sharpton And jerkoff Jackson? He left no scars.Point here is.While working in a poor part of our town I came out of a house to get something from my truck.8 black men told me not to come near the truck or they would cut me.Your damn right we white people have good reason to be scared of them.They would have not thought twicw before taking my life that day.I was lucky a black friend of mine came by and told them to leave me alone and they did.Now this wasn't the first or last time something like this happen to me.I for one fear for my life when they are around.They want our women and money and life .Don Imus was wrong by saying what he said but not near as wrong as they treat white people.

Dom Imus should not have been fired. It is too bad that the network did not stick up for him and Bernie. It seems the blacks can call white people anything they want and it is okay, but let us say one thing they do not like and we are terrible people. I have friends who are black ,hispanic,etc. and I like them all. Jesse and Rev Al need to keep their names and faces in the press so people will not forget who they are or what they look like.

I just think it's kinda funny that white people can be nappy headed too, and that he got more heat for so called racist comments, instead of being sexist. His comments were more sexist than racist. Since when has "nappy headed" meant racist? I mean, have we gone a lil too far? I think it's also funny how if a racist comment was made toward white people, it wouldn't be a big deal at all, but if it even remotely sounds like a racist comment toward the black population, all hell breaks loose. It is the Caucasians that create their own jams. They brought Africans to the Americas to work land stolen from Native Americans because Caucasians were to lazy to work the land themselves. When African Americans were freed, the Caucasians turned even more violent towards African Americans. (KKK) It is the Whites that are more racist.

The focus should not have been on Don Imus. I am sure these girls did not even listen to his show and most probably did not know who he was until the media frenzie! What is it saying about our society and a coach who does not tell these girls "shake it off and celebrate your accomplishments" Are we going to turn in to a society of whiners, when someone says boo to you go in the corner and cry....The poor girls could not even enjoy because everyone is so focused on what some "shock-jock" has to say. Pitiful. We all might as well stand around and do nothing. Sure is amazing since this we have heard how it is okay in your own race to be degrading...I say WHATEVER! How honestly is that okay? I remember reading something about 30 years ago that said, "someday communism will fade away in the East while it slowly rises in the West!" I can't remember who the author was but incidents like Imus getting fired over 'poor choice of words' demonstrates to me that we are losing our freedom of speech! What or who will be next? Somehow we should ALL pull together (black, white, brown, etc.) and NOT let this happen to our country!

No, Don Imus's apology was not enough. He deserved to be fired. If he is going to say derogatory insults, then he has no business on the air. The Rev. Al Sharpton and Rev. Jesse Jackson are right Imus should have been fired. Imus should have not been calling people of the African race nappy headed hos. Caucasians wouldn't want African Americans calling their women horse haired hos. This isn't about Rap Music. This racial hatred against African people has been going on for almost four hundred years now long before Rap Music. There have been countless of African American women raped, and males lynched since slavery began. African Americans are no longer going to take insults and degradation from Caucasians because they find it amusing and to make themselves feel superior. Let the firing of Imus demonstrate that if you say things that are harmful to others then you have to pay the price.

His apology should have been enough. Corporate america is a bunch of hypocrites. Many of these corporations support rap music whos lyrics is far worse than anything Imus said.

It also seems that the black community is searching for a leader but Rev. Al Sharpton and Rev. Jesse Jackson are not the answer, their past history clearly shows that.

Don Imus and gangster rappers? What do they have in common. Rappers send out their messages in cds with parental warnings. Those who buy it want to hear it. Very few rappers target 9 or 10 young girls and call them bleeps. I am not defending rappers but why do they set the standard for Imus who earns millions on regulated radio and tv? If rappers who say hateful things are the standard Imus is held to, he fell below that standard by calling 10 or 11 young college students bleeps. Everyone who wants to defend Imus should be asked one question- how would they feel if their daughter, mother or sister was called a bleep for no reason at all?
