Eddie Murphy's Boys Can Swim

 Kevin Winter/Getty Images Usmagazine.com has learned exclusively from Eddie Murphy's family rep that a rumor currently circulating on the web about his plumbing being plugged up is completely false. To be more specific: Eddie Murphy's ex Melanie Brown (that's Scary Spice, to you), 31, has alleged that the 46-year-old comic is the father of her one-month-old daughter, Angel Iris Murphy Brown. And recently, his older brother, comic Charlie Murphy, was reportedly overheard telling fans that Eddie had gotten a vasectomy, making Mel's claims impossible. But today, thanks to a statement from Charlie via his rep, we can lay to rest any questions about Eddie's potency. "As far as I know, this [incident] never happened. How would I know if my brother had a vasectomy? Charlie Murphy does not have the itinerary on any man's penis!" The announcement must come as both a relief and a disappointment to Murphy supporters. He can still father the next great stand-up, but he might have to stand trial to see if Angel Iris is already it. Ummmmm. Charlie Murphy untalented? Has a rep for being the brother of a celebrity? Jeez. Haven't you ever watched The Chapelle Show? He was the funniest co-star on there and, in addition, co-wrote much of the series including the more famous skits i.e. Rick James and Prince -Charlie Murphy's True Hollywood Stories. He is funnier, I dare say, than his dear brother. It's called a career. That might be why he has a rep. Just a thought.

Murphy supporters do care. I love Eddie Murphy and always have but I am disheartened to hear this about him. Bad enough he is off with another woman when Mel B is pregnant and she thought they were in love and were going to be together. But he needs to just get the test and support the child. He doesn't have to have a relationship with Mel other than for visiting his daughter.

I'm sorry I didn't know why needed "reps" just for being the untalented relations of a celebrity. Does this mean that Shiloh Pitt also has a publicist by now? Us Weekly, just because YOU'RE on pins and needles about this paternity test (After all SOMETHING has to fill the void of the Anna-Nicole Baby-Daddy exploition) doesn't mean that "Murphy supporters" care one way or another.

Mel and Eddies gorgeous baby Angel is divine. I really felt that Eddie should be a responsible adult and get the tests and do the right thing. From what I believe you had meet your soul-mate Mr Murphy and let her slip out of your fingers, fame and money cant buy you happiness but love can bring you so much more. Its like the whole Steve Bing and Liz Hurley Saga with Steve denying he was the father when he actually was. This baby is a human life with feelings and will grow one day hopefully secure in the knowledge of who her father is. Angel has a wonderful mother which you should be grateful for but now she needs to know her father and be proud of her heritage. C'mon do the right thing....

I am thanking my lucky stars every day that I have the good fortune to NOT be associated with such a waste of space much less be ...I can't even bear to think it... No kidding... he announced to the whole world that when the baby "comes out" she'll need a blood test to prove, what everyone already knows, that he's the father. And now he has the nerve to Refuse a paternity test. What's the matter Eddie..are we BROKE? Lack of talent? Can't support your baby-making-habits anymore? Sorry, Melanie, that this happened to you. I think the fact that he doesn't want to see his child may be a blessing in disguise for you.

Oh come on Eddie! This entire situation is very upsetting. If the baby isn't yours, take the test and be done with it. But to be forced to take the test by a judge is unbelievable! If you have a child, be a father to her like you are to the five you already have. I am a huge fan but this is just inexcuseable! You are not married to the mother of the child. Your relationship is solely with the child-- similar to the relationship you have to your five children (not your ex wife!)
