EXCLUSIVE: Elisabeth Hasselbeck Tells Us About Her New Pregnancy!

Just after announcing that she and quarterback hubby Tim Hasselbeck are expecting their second child, The View co-host Elisabeth Hasselbeck spoke to Usmagazine.com about getting chubby, baby-naming, and juggling her pregnancy and time with her toddler.

Elisabeth Hasselbeck, 29, threw her View co-hosts for a loop this morning when she announced on-air that she was three months pregnant. After last Wednesday's news that Hasselbeck's regular debate opponent Rosie O'Donnell,45, would not return next season, the all-female panel show suddenly finds itself down two personalities. Such issues aren't plaguing Elisabeth, though, who is "excited to finally let people know".

The mother of two-year-old Grace had an interesting way of filling in Daddy Tim, 29. "I actually had Grace tell him. He came home and she said, 'I'm going to be a big sister!' He did a double take, but of course he was excited."

Another thing to keep the happy couple excited in the next six months? They don't plan to learn the baby's sex. "I'm a control freak in every other aspect of my life but for me there are a few things that I want no knowledge of. Things about the future. And honestly, the anticipation of finding out, gets me through the pregnancy!" The boy or girl intrigue shouldn't provide a setback for future big sis Grace, who " just wants to make sure it is named Sebastian".

Between now and her due date in early November, Elisabeth is looking forward to eating and living right. She runs four miles three times a week, and is learning to let go of her competitive nature out on the track. "I really like being pregnant because I feel like I let go of a lot of my hangups. You definitely see yourself in a better light."

Still, she can't resist thinking she "should get a t-shirt that says "You're not faster than me. I'm just pregnant."

Elisabeth is incredibly rude, judgmental and just plain "open mouth, insert foot" stupid. There are so many more intelligent women with a conservative view that would better serve the show. Frankly, I would very much welcome a thoughtful, opposing conservative view being expressed on the show. I have been a registered Independent voter (moderate) for 25 years and vote the person, not the party (McCain, Perot, Obama), and want to hear factual opposing views. I have mostly stopped watching The View because of Elisabeth.

i like elisabeth. Aparently some people only want to hear one view and cant take views that may be different than theirs. I think its funny how barry wimpilow is afraid of elisabeth. rosie is a bully and when someone stands up to a bully the bully runs. case and point. i hope elisabeth comes back after her leave.

I like Elizabeth.Everyone has a view point,and thats why she is there, to share hers.Sure sometimes she goes overboard with her mouth, but so do the other co-hosts. I like what she stands for.She has kept her views in quiet tones for awhile now, but the other hosts keep nagging on her all the time, just because they dont like this war in Iraq. Well OK, you have spoke your peace, now let it go. BUT everyday some one has to get their "gig" in on Elizabeth. None of the other past "hosts" have been respectful toward Elizabeth and her choices.We all know their view, and where they stand on this war.BUT, thats just the name of the game with this show.You can either watch it and take it for what it is, or change the channel. It cant be too bad a show, its been on for 11 years now....

I love the view because of elisabeth. I am so tired of seeing everybody wanting to be popular and doing what the celebs do. She has strong values and supports our country... Which we all should do. She isn't too skinny... She's healthy, something Rosie sure isn't. She has a gluten allergy that keeps her from eating a lot of things. Some people are just jealous of a good looking fit person.

I don't like Elizabeth. I think she is rude and I don't watch The View anymore either. I agree that Rosie was a wild card and should learn to control herself so that people will actually listen to what she has to say, but it doesn't take away from the fact that Elizabeth is obnoxious. I've had enough of The View with their holier-than-thou approach. Bunch of annoying, close-minded, self-righteous hags. The young women among them sound as ignorant as the hags do, and I can't tell if their attitudes spring from wanting to simply blend in or from inferiority complexes.

Just watched the video of the Princess and Rosie. My God, that 'I love me' attitude just screams. Her mouth runs a mile a minute, constanting demanding everyone let her speak, K? That dig she threw at Rosie was such a low blow, but clearly let Rosie know just how low she thinks of her. I so hope they fire that her.

Its sad that Rosie is such a domineering control freak. She tried to set Eliz up but it backfired on her. She has taken pot shots all along with Eliz. Elizabeth is a decent young woman who sticks to family values, which seems to be a threat to Rosie and her friends who post here. What are you guys afraid of? At least she can look at herself in the mirror and not be ashamed of what she is doing. It's a sad day when being raised to do and say the right thing, and to love your country is unfashionable.

She needs to eat a meal. Look at her photo--it's like she doesn't even have the strength to open her eyes fully. This could be one of the reasons that she spews nonsensical tripe, as well--her brain isn't functioning well due to the malnutrition. I can't stand this woman after watching The View (which is the only place I've seen her). She is so obnoxious and even the sound of her voice is purely repulsive. I won't watch the show anymore. I'd rather hear the buzz of silence (or a jackhammer).
