Ellen's reasoning for crossing the line makes a lot of sense to me. She said she did it because there are people who count on her for a paycheck. I understand the writers are fighting for what is rightfully theirs. But they need to understand they are hurting people besides the studio execs or the celebrities. Ellen's right, if her show stops, all the people who work for her (who probably live from paycheck to paycheck) are suddenly out of work. If she's truly thinking about them, it's hard to argue her continuing her show.
