Two days after Alec Baldwin claimed that 30 Rock's sixth and final season will air in 2012, the 53-year-old actor has changed his tune.

"I want to take the opportunity to state that although my days on network TV may be numbered, I hope 30 Rock goes on forever," he writes on the Huffington Post. "Or at least as long as everyone involved desires."

In fact, Baldwin even suggests some upcoming storylines for the hit NBC comedy, which won 10 Emmy Awards after its October 2006 debut.

"Next year hopefully won't be the last. Kenneth [Jack McBrayer, 37] can run the network. Jenna [Jane Krakowski, 42] will get her own talk show. Tracy [Tracy Morgan, 42] will become Mayor of New York. Then resign to go raise exotic reptiles. And Lemon [Tina Fey, 40] will go do. . . just about anything she sets her mind to."

"Here's to five more seasons," he concluded.
