According to Deadline, the young actor has been cast opposite Channing Tatum in the Steven Soderbergh film. Based on Tatum's real-life experiences as an exotic dancer, the film tells the story of an older performer (Tatum) who shows a younger dancer (Pettyfer) the tricks of the trade.

"It's sexy, funny and shocking," Soderbergh has said of the project. "We're using Saturday Night Fever as our model, so hopefully we're on the right track."
