How America’s Got Talent Champ Landau Murphy Will Spend His $1 Million Prize

And the winner of America's Got Talent is…

Laudau Eugene Murphy, Jr.!

The 36-year-old rat pack crooner beat out fellow finalists dancer groups Team illuminate and Silhouettes and teen band PopLyfe to earn the NBC hit's grand prize of $1 million and a Las Vegas stage show contract.

"It's so amazing," Murphy, who worked at a West Virginia car wash prior to his stint on Talent, gushed to Us Weekly after his Wednesday night win. "God has been so amazing guiding my footsteps and I just want to continue to walk my faith, to keep my feet humbly, solidly planted to the ground."

The singer snagged the show's top honor after performing Frank Sinatra's "My Way" on Tuesday's episode and a duet to "You're All I Need to Get By" with Patti LaBelle on Wednesday's finale.

And married father Murphy tells Us he knows just how he'll spend his well-deserved prize.

"I'll take [my wife] out on a nice vacation. She's never seen the ocean," he told Us backstage after his win. "She's never seen a beach! I've been so busy with this that I've never had the time to take her out, so I just really want to walk on the beach with her and buy her a whole lot of nice things."

"We're not really into spending money on a bunch of fancy clothes," Murphy continued. "It's all about taking care of business."

Murphy will headline a stage show at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas next month, alongside the show's three other finalists.
