Angelina Jolie in Talks to Play Famous Disney Villain

Angelina Jolie could soon play a famous villain on the big screen.
The actress, 34, is in talks to assume the role of Maleficent, the wicked fairy godmother, in a live-action remake of Sleeping Beauty to be directed by Tim Burton, the Los Angeles Times reports.

In the original animated flick, Maleficent cast a spell on Sleeping Beauty that caused her to prick her finger and sleep for 100 years, awaking only after getting kissed by a prince.

Disney declined to comment, and Jolie's manager could not be reached by comment by the Times.
Jolie is currently filming The Tourist alongside Johnny Depp in Venice, Italy. Her next kid-friendly flick, Kung Fu Panda 2, hits theaters in June 2011.

Burton's Alice in Wonderland is the highest-grossing movie of 2010. It beat Avatar's opening weekend by more than $30 million after earning $116.3 million in its first three days in theaters.

Good thing I am not alone in my opinion that Tim Burton makes really f'ed up remakes. Dude is trippin in Alice in Wonderland.
Naturally, because she certainly can't pull off the princess ... unless the princess falls asleep while cutting herself with a vial of the prince's blood around her neck.
The real question is...will Tim Burton stop destroying Disney Classics?
Angelina play a psychotic villain. That's not much of a stretch. She's been that to Jen Aniston for years now. With the whole "open marriage" thing now between her and Pitt, I'm guessing she became that for Brad too. The kids are the only thing keeping that relationship together.
How can we know if she's a good mom or not. She seems to love children. But I do feel she has a certain "coldness" about her and maybe that's what people are seeing.
I think Angelina is beautiful, but there's a hardness about her face and body that is not appealing. She's like a mannequin. Her face is so stony and haughty looking albeit still pretty. I just don't get any sense of realness or warmth about her, which in my opinion makes a genetically beautiful person really breathtaking. She doesn't have that, I just can't imagine her being very maternal to her children either. She seems really messed up, despite trying to appear to have a perfect life.
Angelina is stunning. I know people don't like her because of the Brad and Jen thing. I don't know the details, like if she did steal him from Jen or what, but I always though Jen was nothing to look at and can't understand why she has so many fans. I hated Friends and I know she has the girl next door image/persona, but always thought she was average looking at best. Are you people sure you aren't jealous of Angelina? She has beauty, a nice looking husband, money, a great career, a big family and has done many charitable works. I'm sure she's had her share of heart ache in life like everyone else. I don't defend stealing someone's husband but we don't know the details or if she actually did. Besides it takes 2 to tango. I think she's a great actress.

what's wrong with those having so much hateful comments ones here, Angelina is a great actress and much better human being than most of yours, have you done anything else besides criticizing others? or have you won any achievements in your profession??
So much for her TAKING TIME OFF WORK. She has said she was going to stop working for a while (GOD KNOWS THEY CAN AFFORD FOR HER TO STAY HOME) and raise those kids SHE wanted! She sure hasn't stopped yet now has she... Movie after movie moving her kids all over the world when they should be going to school, meeting new friends, forming bonds with said friends you know the stuff NORMAL children and families do.

She may take them everywhere but she also takes the MANY NANNIES as well and it is the NANNIES who are raising those kids unless there is a camera in view!
