She’s got rhymes! Anne Hathaway went head-to-head with James Corden in a no-holds-barred rap competition that went down on the Tuesday, May 24, episode of The Late Late Show.

For the late-night program’s new “Drop the Mic” segment, the Alice Through the Looking Glass star, 33, and the talk show host, 37, battled it out in front of an enthusiastic live audience who cheered the pair on as they flexed their hip-hop skills.

Corden went first, attempting to obliterate the Princess Diaries alum by taking aim at several of her past acting jobs. "I admit that Anne is both talented and sweet, and it's hard to say anything about her that's mean,” he rapped. “But I'm gonna try my best and air it out like tank tops, and like her movie Get Smart, her rhymes are gonna flop.”

"Now it's her turn to try and act a little scary, 'cause the only Catwoman I acknowledge is Halle Berry,” he sniped.

Hathaway — clad in an all-black ensemble teamed with a baseball hat cocked to the side — hit back at the British TV personality by firing off a slew of insults (made in jest, of course!).

"A Catwoman dis? Gosh, what do I do? I can't make fun of you, James, 'cause no one's heard of you," Hathaway responded in her verse, stepping closer to Corden. "Now that I finally have a chance to speak, I saw your rhymes are like your ratings, damn, they're incredibly weak."

And then came the real zinger: "I'm like your wife: I watch Seth Meyers instead.”

Naturally, more jabs ensued. Corden mocked Hathaway’s “awful” British accent from her performance in 2011’s One Day, along with her widely panned hosting gig at the 2011 Oscars, and Hathaway made fun of Corden’s weight, as well as his devotion to One Direction.

At the end of their five-minute exchange, a winner was chosen by round of applause. To see who came out victorious in the hilarious showdown, watch the video above!
