Ant-Man Trailer: Paul Rudd Gets a Superhero Makeover in First Clip — Watch!

It’s a bug’s life for Paul Rudd! The comedic actor, 45, is shrinking down to size in the first trailer for the upcoming superhero movie, Ant-Man.

An early look at the action flick debuted during the series premiere of ABC’s Agent Carter on Tuesday, Jan. 6, showing Rudd becoming Ant-Man‘s title character.

The Anchorman star begins the clip as Scott Lang, a small-time criminal who steals the Ant-Man suit from the original wearer Hank Pym, in order to save his family. His daughter is ill and he uses the getup to sneak into a medical and technology facility to obtain a treatment for his little girl.

He then comes face-to-face with Pym (Michael Douglas), who confronts Lang about his antics.

“Scott, I’ve been watching you for a while,” Pym tells Lang, against scenes of the thief surrendering to cops, spending time in jail, and becoming the Ant-Man. “You’re different. Now, don’t let anyone tell you that you have nothing to offer. Second chances don’t come around all that often. I suggest you take a really close look at it.”

As Marvel’s comic footage airs and a brief glimpse of a shirtless, buff Rudd is shown, Pym adds, “This is your chance to earn that look in your daughter’s eyes… to become the hero that she already thinks you are. It’s not about saving our world, it’s about saving theirs. Scott, I need you to be the Ant-Man.”
