Righteous dude!

It didn't take long for Ashton Kutcher to become the most popular guy among the cast and crew of Two and a Half Men.

Charlie Sheen's replacement on the the smash CBS sitcom threw an impromptu "first day party " for the entire show's staff after the first day of shooting wrapped on Friday, an insider tells Us Weekly.

With wife Demi Moore at his side, the 33-year-old was a happy host in the back room of West Hollywood hotspot Trousdale, "buying drinks" for all comers, the insider says. DJing the off-the-cuff bash was Jordy Masterson, the brother of Kutcher's former That 70s Show costar Danny Masterson.

Kutcher and Moore, 48, "were both cute together and friendly with everyone," the source tells Us.

Indeed, the low-key celebration epitomizes the new Zen Kutcher brings after the chaos of Sheen's ouster earlier this year.

"Everybody is loving Ashton on the set," the source raves. "He's really coming off like a cool low maintenance guy, and with everything that went down with Charlie everyone is breathing a sigh of relief."

Unlike 45-year-old Sheen's drama, "He jokes with the crew, has no tantrums, he comes in well studied in his lines -- it's such a nice change. So far there have been no issues and everyone is really happy with how it's working out."

Adds the source: "Nobody is missing Charlie right now."

Rose, you have too much invested in this. You know its a tv show right? Charlie Sheen is an arrogant entitled addict who needs help, not misplaced support from so-called fans who think his work is enough reason to ignore the FACT he's a disturbed dysfunctional human being who needlessly got the cast and crew laid off when he walked off the set last March. Oh but he's Charlie Harper...in other words, he's a doofus who can recite lines portraying an addict lothario moron on television - yep, that's enough to respect him. He can recite lines, wow what a star. With Charlie sheen it came naturally? Do you think ingesting massive amounts of alcohol and drugs continuously is natural? Could you be more naive?

I said it before and I will say it again. Charie Sheen is Charlie Harper. I hope that Chuck Lorre falls on his ugly face and that 2-1/2 men gets cancelled. Nothing against Ashton Kutcher. I like him, just not on 2-1/2 men. I like Ashley feels he tries to hard to be funny, never a good thing. With Charlie Sheen it just came naturally. I will not be watching this show. Even though it used to be one of my favories.

I just think Ashton tries too hard to be funny. I have nothing personal against him, but from things I've seen lately, I wasn't impressed. But hey, good luck anyway!

Honestly, I'm not a Kutcher fan, but I would really LOVE it if the show does well with him. I'm going to give it a try. I think as long as they don't make him the main character, it'll do fine. Good luck 2-1/2 men!!

Nice guy that Ashton, but I still think this show is going to sink like the Titanic w/o Charlie but hey..we'll see..
