Swoon! Bachelor Ben Higgins recently sat down with Us Weekly in an exclusive one-on-one, where he discussed pickup lines, the birds and the bees and his “emotional” stint as The Bachelor.
“Early on, I saw myself getting emotional,” the hunky Colorado resident, 26, tells Us. “And I knew that this was going to be a long road.”
The tall, dark and handsome season 20 lead (he’s 6-foot-4) also spills the details about when he first had “the talk.”
“My birds-and-the-bees talk was in fifth grade,” he recalls. “They brought in fake butts and fake anatomy parts. Looking back it was actually kind of creepy.”
Higgins, who memorably referred to himself as “unlovable” in the season premiere, says he’s not exactly Rico Suave either. “I don’t use a lot of pickup lines,” he says, giving us his go-to line. “‘Hi, I’m Ben,'” he jokes with Us. “‘Nice to meet you.’ I don’t consider myself somebody that’s very smooth.”
