Last Monday, August 20, Michael Stagliano was sent home in one of Bachelor Pad‘s most shocking rose ceremonies, and no one is feeling the sting of his exit more than Rachel Trueheart.
“I was falling in love with Michael, and I haven’t felt this way about a guy in so long,” Trueheart sobs in a preview from Monday’s show, which picks up immediately after eliminated veteran player Erica Rose chooses Stagliano — last season’s champ — to pack his bags along with her. “This sucks. I don’t know how I’m going to do this without him.”
Things change for Trueheart on Monday’s episode, when Bachelor Pad host Chris Harrison announces the game’s shocking new twist: Previously competing as individuals, the contestants must team up to compete as a duo and be voted off two-by-two.
Trueheart immediately sets her sights on Ashley Hebert‘s Bachelorette ex, Nick Petersen, but he isn’t so convinced they’d mesh well given Trueheart’s frame of mind.
“I don’t mean to sound insensitive, but we are thisclose to $250,000, and the last thing I need is her saying ‘I miss Michael.’ I need her head in the game,” Petersen snaps. “I am partnered with a widow!”
Bachelor Pad airs Monday at 8 p.m. (EST) on ABC.
