Sorry, Superman, but this battle tops everything! Batman was officially spotted on the set of Suicide Squad on Wednesday, May 27 — and boy, did he leave some bloodshed behind.
In new photos, the Dark Knight takes on The Joker (Jared Leto) in an awesome, action-packed car chase. Ben Affleck’s Batman, or perhaps a stuntman in this case, rides on top of the villain’s purple Infiniti G35 car in Toronto, Canada. Bonus? The Batmobile also makes an appearance!
It’s been rumored for months that Affleck would be making a cameo in the David Ayer-directed flick. In recent weeks, the Oscar winner, 42, has even been photographed walking around Toronto.
“I don’t want to give away too much, but the idea for the new Batman is to redefine him in a way that doesn’t compete with the [Christian] Bale and Chris Nolan Batman but still exists within the Batman canon,” Affleck told Playboy magazine in December 2013, referring to his role in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. “It will be an older and wiser version, particularly as he relates to Henry Cavill’s Superman character.”
Suicide Squad also stars Margot Robbie, Cara Delevingne, Will Smith, Scott Eastwood, Jai Courtney, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Joel Kinnaman, and Viola Davis. It hits theaters on Aug. 5, 2016.
