Here comes Meemaw! Oscar-nominated actress June Squibb is set to play Sheldon’s (Jim Parsons) maternal grandmother in an upcoming episode of The Big Bang Theory, Entertainment Weekly reports.
Details of the appearance have not yet been released, with EW reporting that the 86-year-old Squibb will appear in a February episode.
Sheldon has long held a fondness for Meemaw, who has been discussed throughout the CBS sitcom’s run but has yet to be seen.
Squibb nabbed an Academy Award nomination for 2013’s Nebraska and has recently appeared on such TV series as Getting On, Code Black and Girls.
This has been a big season for Sheldon, who recently lost his virginity to on-again paramour Amy (Mayim Bialik).
The Big Bang Theory airs on CBS Thursdays at 8 p.m. EST.
