Big Brother Update: Clelli Ends With Clay’s Eviction, Becky Is New HoH

Big Brother eviction recap
Clay and Shelli's reign of power in the Big Brother house is finally over and a new Head of Household is in charge.

The game is exciting again! Big Brother Season 17 had slowly become a bore thanks to Shelli and Clay (aka "Clelli") running the show and not even doing any of their own dirty work. Austin continued to fawn over Liz, and Johnny Mac kept shouting during his diary room confessions. But all that is over now — well, except for Johnny Mac’s shouting, but that can stay — as James won HoH and finally flipped the house!

Jason Was Evicted, Everyone Cried

Jason’s eviction got the ball rolling for a much-needed shakeup in the house. Vanessa was close to nominating Austin, whom she felt had become untrustworthy because of his relationship with Liz, but changed her mind at the last minute. Why? Well, Austin was fairly convincing in his plea for to her to not, and thanks to a little nudge from Shelli and Clay, they convinced Vanessa that Jason was a threat. You know, funny, kind, and harmless player Jason. Sure! Big threat! He was sadly evicted, and while the house mourned him like no other evictee thus far this season, the line in the sand was drawn and it was time for a shift in power.

James Won HoH, Clay and Shelli Cried

Someone was ready to break up Clay and Shelli, get blood on their hands, and play the game — and that person was James. After winning a grueling physical competition, James won HoH and immediately Clay and Shelli began to panic. Still jaded from Jason’s eviction, James had one clear target: Clelli. Smartly, James decided to not backdoor either of them and put them both on the block. Though Clay and Shelli knew it was a possibility, their reaction to their nominations was the single greatest moment of this season yet.

James Won The Veto, Clay and Shelli Continued To Cry

James' reign as Head of Household played out perfectly. Not only did he win HoH and nominate the two players controlling the house, he also won the Veto, securing his nominations. James had the kind of week that is rare and for it to happen while Clay and Shelli were on the block was some exceptional game play.

Clay Was Evicted From Big Brother, Shelli Cried

Clay and Shelli did not go down without a fight. Oh, they fought their hardest alright. They brought the tears, the lies, and even threw Austin and Vanessa under the bus. But their attempts weren’t enough to save either of them from the block, and it was Clay who was evicted from the house. Clelli is no longer and Shelli can start rehydrating after all the water she lost from crying for a week. Farewell, Clay!

Becky Is The New HoH

With Clay sent packing, Big Brother wasted no time crowning a new Head of Household. After a taxing physical HoH competition, presumed floater and The Girl Hit By A Train, Becky, was crowned HoH and already had a target: Vanessa. She nominated Shelli and Steve with the plan to backdoor Vanessa after the Veto competition. Who knew Becky had it in her all along?
