Bob Barker Slams New Price Is Right Host Drew Carey

Guess Price of Right host Drew Carey doesn't have the blessing of his predecessor, Bob Barker.
Barker recently gave his critique of Carey's performance on the game show, which he's been hosting since Barker's 2007 departure.
"He does the show differently than I did," Barker told TMZ, "I tried to make the show really exciting, and he doesn't do that. He just plays the games."

Now 86 and retired from TV, Barker hosted the classic game show for 35 years before handing the reins over to comedian Carey, 52.

43I agree with Bob. Nothing against Drew but we need a more suave host who keeps us on the edge of our seats with every game. Everyone is behind Drew but are they actually watching the show. No theyâ??re not. Itâ??s boring now and thatâ??s what Bob is saying.
I think Drew Carey is great. I'm ashamed to think that Bob Barker would make such a rude remark. I think Drew brings a lot to the show. Way to go, Drew.
it seems that the show is now about getting lots of black folks and lots of loud mouthed men on there instead of what it used to be like. I hate it and it should be taken off the air.
Mind your own business Bob. Bob Barker was past his prime when he departed from the Price is Right. I never watched the show much until Drew Carey took over. Give Drew a break as he is a funny guy hosting a fairly serious game show. He does add levity.

Bob Barker has a lot of nerve! I watched the show for years and can't say he was exciting. Drew actually seems happy for the contestants when they win. Last couple of years with Bob, he was snippy, and sometimes grouchy. I think Drew is doing a great job!
drew carey is 52????? are you sure that's right???? I don't think so.... if he's 52 then he looks damn young! that has got to be a mistake.

I don't want to knock The Price Is Right, but aren't they getting tired of running it for so long? That pattern of taping those shows over and over has to be grueling. I know they like to revamp and update the long running shows, but some people have moved on to shows like Deal or No Deal, Who Wants to Be A Millionaire,Cash Cab and more recent game shows with the bigger stage sets and lighting. They've gone through several hosts of Family Feud the past 11 years! I think that while we love these shows and want to keep them on, maybe it's time to hang them up.
I think that Bob Barker just doesn't like the format that they do now with The Price Is Right. Drew Carey is good, but he can get silly at times. They do a lot of theme shows like the Valentine's Day show,Mother's Day Show, a engaged couples' type show, an April Fool's Day show, a Halloween show and so forth, something that Bob never did. It's only been 3 years that Drew has hosted and it's really hard to follow a beloved game show icon such as Bob Barker. But I think that the show will succeed with Drew hosting. Some people were comfortable with Bob hosting it for years and they just can't adjust to Drew, the newer set and how they've changed the sets of the longtime games like Most Expensive and its brighter colored sets.
Sorry Bob, I like Drew and he does make the show fun in my eyes! I'm from Ohio too! Keep up the fun work Drew!!

I think Drew does fine as a host. Bob always came across as a bit cold and standoffish (unless you were one of the Beauties that he wanted to have sex with..).
Saw Drew on TMZ last night and that dude has lost so much weight he's almost unrecognizable!!! But I hate game shows, don't watch the first one and although ol' Bob was a perverted old man, I think he did the better job.
The Price is Right is fantastic with Drew Carey. I'm disappointed in Bob Barker for slamming Drew. It wasn't exciting with Bob ... it was just okay. With Drew, there are specials, like the April Fool's Day show, the couples show. I think he does a much better job than Bob. Bob's turned into a cranky old man!!!!
Bob's got it all wrong! Drew is great at hosting the price is right. I tape it everyday to watch! I'm so looking forward to going on the price is right! Don't listen to Bob, Drew!

I think The Price is Right is horrible now! I don't even watch it anymore bring Bob back, or at least a better host.
