Chad Johnson just realized why Bachelorette fans hate him — and he’s totally cool with it. The controversial season 12 contestant posted an amusing video of himself watching the ABC series on Wednesday, June 15.
“So I finally watched the show at my sisters .. Holy [t-ts] now I understand why some people hate me! Haha,” Johnson, 28, captioned the Instagram post. “But some parts were hilarious too LOL @tiffjohnson24.”
In the video, the real estate agent watches a scene in which he calls JoJo Fletcher‘s other 25 suitors “immature.” (Fletcher kicked Johnson off last episode, but he returned to, er, terrorize the other men in the final scene.)
“Can’t we all have huge egos?” he later tweeted on Wednesday. “Is mine big or everyone else’s just small? Why can’t we all think we’re the s—t LOL.”
To many, Johnson has already solidified his status as the most hated Bachelorette villain of all time. His unsettling remarks, temper and feud with fellow contestant Evan Bass forced Chris Harrison to give him a warning and producers to hire a bodyguard. On the flip side, his eating habits — a whole sweet potato?! — have amused fans along the way.
Johnson defended his behavior via Instagram late last month. “Finally I’ll get some alone time with @joelle_fletcher and be able to be myself,” he wrote on May 30. “You will see the amazing connection we have and hopefully, after this #bachelormonday y’all will understand that I’m not violent, but I will stand up for myself, being as I, like everyone else, do not like being harassed and bullied.”
