He's a winner! Charlie the Skye Terrier was named Best In Show at the National Dog Show on Thursday, Nov. 26.
The 4-year-old dog beat out dogs from more than 170 breeds to nab the coveted title at the annual event presented by Purina.
"It was Charlie's day," host (and Seinfeld alum) John O'Hurley said. "Nearly 1,800 dogs started the day, but only one could be Best in Show."
The pup from Ocala, Fla., has notched up 78 Best in Show titles and 200 first-place finishes. Rubi, a 2-year-old French Bulldog from NYC, was named Reserve Best in Show.
This year's show included seven new American Kennel Club breeds including the Lagotto Romagnolo, a retrieving water dog from Italy; the miniature American Shepherd; the Spanish Water Dog; and the Bergamasco, a sheepdog whose hair forms felt-like mats that grow over the course of the dog's life, reaching the ground when it's 6 years old.
