Chelsea Handler went out in a big way — naked and with many guest stars. The Chelsea Lately host, 39, wrapped up her long-running late night show on Tuesday, Aug. 26, bidding adieu to the show with a lineup of stars including Jennifer Aniston, Miley Cyrus, Sandra Bullock, and 50 Cent.
Even Ellen DeGeneres got in on the fun, making her first appearance on Chelsea Lately in a hilarious clip with Handler. See more stars at the finale.
The sketch opens with shots of a naked Handler entering a public locker room, getting a rinse in an area labeled “Chelsea Lately Staff Showers.” As she begins to shower, Handler is interrupted by DeGeneres, who reaches to turn off the water. She previously did shower scene gags with other big stars including Bullock and Conan O’Brien.
“Oh no!” the funnywoman exclaims, looking alarmed as she sees DeGeneres, 56. “What are you doing here?”
Wearing a pinstripe blazer, black T-shirt, trousers, and an oversized shower cap, DeGeneres grins at Handler before saying, “I came to ask why I’ve never been on your show.”
Looking surprised, Handler responds, “I didn’t know you wanted to be on my show!”
“Well, I don’t necessarily want to be on your show,” DeGeneres explains. “I’m just wondering, why wouldn’t you ask me to be on your show?”
As the women bicker back and forth about perceived slights, DeGeneres addresses the supposed elephant in the room, asking “Is it because I’m a lesbian?”
