Chord Overstreet Returning to Glee

Brace yourselves, Gleeks: Chord Overstreet is coming back to Glee!
Three months after Fox did not renew Overstreet's contract as a series regular, show co-creator Ryan Murphy confirmed the actor will re-assume his role as Sam in a multi-episode arc this winter.

"We love Chord and have always said that we wanted him back," Murphy told Us Weekly in a statement Monday. "So here's an early Christmas present for all the Gleeks -- Sam is coming back to McKinley, and just in time for sectionals!"

Overstreet, who debuted on the song-and-dance series in season 2 as a football player who transferred to McKinley, is equally as excited to get back to work.

"I had the best time on Glee and couldn't be more excited to be returning," Overstreet tells Us in a statement.
New episodes of Glee return starting November 1 on FOX.
