Chris Hemsworth's profile has been significantly raised since bulking up to play Marvel Comics' Thor in 2011.
But the actor, who recently welcomed daughter India Rose with wife Elsa Pataky, is struggling with his heartthrob status. "It's helped me get a job, sure" he tells the July issue of GQ. "But you hope it's not the only thing that's helped."
To play "a lost soul and a drunk" in this summer's Snow White and the Huntsman, Hemsworth, 28, found himself spinning around in circles before shooting his boozing scenes. "It really shakes everything up, and you feel a bit more alive," he says of twirling. "I actually started spinning in circles before the scenes where I didn't need to be drunk."
Hemsworth — who models $595 Giorgio Armani khakis, a $25 A|X Armani Exchange tee and $50 Converse sneakers, all while drinking a Budweiser — tells GQ he witnessed even weirder warm-up rituals on movie sets.
"I worked with a guy once who would chant, 'I'm beautiful and I have a secret, I'm beautiful and I have a secret.'"
